Musselshell Steakhouse is a must-stop in Harlowton, offering a 5-star meal in a small town. The food is excellent, with generous portions and fantastic sides. The ribeye and chicken fried steak taste amazing, with every bite melting in the mouth. The chicken fried steak is as big as the plate, crisp and delicious. The wedge salad and key lime pie are also highlights, with the key lime pie highly recommended. Seafood options like Tempura shrimp are fantastic. Sides such as brussel sprouts and brocolini are so generous they could be a separate meal. Local beers are available, and the drinks are well mixed. The service is excellent, friendly, fast, and flawless. The horseradish is mind-blowing for steak or prime rib. The chef’s outstanding talents set this steakhouse above all others in Montana, offering great value compared to higher priced steakhouses. The wait and bar staff are instrumental in making the experience outstanding. Reservations are recommended, as the restaurant fills up even on weeknights. This gem is certainly worth the drive from neighboring counties.
