Where’s the beef?Paul’s was closed as its Saturday - open M-F Noon -6pmFreezer full of pasties and gravy was available so we cooked ours in the available microwaveGood flavor but very little meat. The half size pasty was full of potatoes, a smattering of carrots and two peas. The pastry was tasty though it was cooked in the microwave.I am hoping this is an anomaly as my companion was a regular 5 years ago and raved about them. He bragged them up and now disappointed but will try again next trip to Helena. Hopefully the pasty will prevail and more meat will appear

These are some of the prettiest pasties I have seen in a long time. Excellent price, very nice dough. A little too much potato for me, but really good none the less and conveniently located. Definitely will try the chicken next time, see if it is as good as the beef :-).

Excellent pasty. The prices are very reasonable. Big Paul's is designed for takeout, but there are two small tables.

Sadly both of my parents experienced horrible food poisoning from these beef pasties, which had undercooked ground beef and potatoes in them. Very disappointing since there are few places to get pasties in Helena.
Best take-out dinner ever last night- pasties for the main course and cheesecake for dessert! Just can’t beat Paul’s pasties!!
Super delicious, generational own, and very convenient. I stopped at the gas station for a drink and ended up going next door to Big Paul's. I'm glad I did, this may become one of regular visits when I come to Helena.

Love love love their pastys, and gravy
Very yummy and filling!!!! The best around. You won't be disappointed
I'm no pasty expert, but these were pretty good. The gentlemen working was very nice and accommodating. Their gravy was also quite delicious. They have a couple different sizes and fillings (full beef pasty, half beef pasty, chicken empanadas...), But we went with the half beef pasty because the full is HUGE. They also serve gravy by the ounce in styrofoam containers. They have containers all the way to 32 ounces. The restaurant is inside of a Sinclair gas station, which isn't too bad because it has its own area, but you will need to purchase drinks from the gas station. You can slow purchase frozen pasties to take home with a how-to manual for cooking them. I recommend trying these out when you have a big appetite.
Stopped by the shop yesterday while I was in Helena. Was able to pick up a bag of frozen cocktail pasties and five 1/2 size. These are perfect for me! I had to stop in early because I was at a doctor’s appointment while you are open. I missed out on the dessert of the day, but the pasties are great with some tucked away in the freezer. You do a great job! Will be back again.

I recommend kindness! Not buying all of Safeway's potatoes during a crisis! Not telling the helpful produce working to "shove it up his a**". When all he did was kindly asked you to please save potatoes for other customers during this hard time our community is going through. I watched in awe as the owner of this company loaded her WHOLE shopping cart with ALL of Safeway's potatoes. She even announced it would keep her in business for the WEEK. ONE WEEK to take potatoes from at least 20-30 families. This company cares about themselves ONLY! By the way, y'all don't have a drive thru... so you've been mandated to close. Maybe someone needs to report y'all. I get this is your business. But if you have the virus, you could be spreading it. I just couldn't believe how the owner of this company disrespected this kind, trying to be considerate of others, produce worker at Safeway. ALL he asked was for her to please leave some for others. She responded with curse words and threats to have him fired. If he's fired who will order all the potatoes you need to take from hungry families?! Boycott this place based on rude behavior and lack of decency in these troubled times. I made sure to write corporate Safeway and tell them how amazingly this produce worker handled a VERY ugly human being and situation. Thank you produce worker at Helena's Safeway for making sure my family got a 5lb bag of potatoes...she took EVERY 10lb bag the second they put them out. Paul's Pasty Parlor...that was just awful! I mean I get you need them to run your business. But the amount of cursing and threatening of this grocery worker was obscene. I'm shocked you weren't asked to leave the store.
Great little hole in the wall hiding in the gas station. If you want some authentic miner pocket sandwiches, this is where you should go in Helena.
Fresh good food
The people here are so genuine and so are their pasties! Check em out.
