Your staff is extremely personable, hard-working and go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and part of the family there. WHAT STARTED Blackfootriver's HATRED TOWARD ME, YOU MAY ASK, "A CONVERSATION WITH A BARMAID" after about 3/4 - 1 year (of filling the Growler I used to have, ALSO this is THE ONLY WORKER THERE that said more than the required MEMORIZED, "can I get you a glass of beer" , as in she could and would talk to me, until a mgr would see her talking & then she would go quite. * THE CONVERSATION * ME "If you ever find that you have extra time on your hands AND you also want to add a friend, I volunteer. " BARMAID " That is the sweetest thing you could have ever said to me" Now she comes back from filling my growler and when she gets; back she grabs my money I have on the counter and disappear's into the crowd for the next 1 1/2 days....... she hides, behind workers, behind the bar, telling everyone I am the problem. Unless she has told everyone about taking my money & hiding away from me after stealing, then she is not telling Blackfoot the truth. And no, I did not get to give a tip to her like normal, it was grabbed off of the counter like some kind of ripoff. So, Bethany, in all honesty I can NOT retract my original review as it is based on 2 years of service, although I don't think Blackfootriver even KNEW I was a customer for the first year, year and half. Nope I am positive no one there ever even ONE TIME said hello to me for the first year. *Comments* to me over (2 years time) . -"Maybe you should go sit in the street" -"Why would we need that for the disabled" -"Don't mind me cutting in front" -"Let me finish with him first, you come in here all the time" -"I didn't think you wanted anything; you were sitting in your chair" -"Go Ahead, serve them, even tho I was at the bar first" Just How Many Times Does A (disabled) Customer have to feel worthless from comments and actions? * THIS IS AN OPINION BASED ON 2 YEARS OF * Original Posting : I was wondering why your business does not have any type of disabled ANYTHING. No chairs, no tables not even a small stool for anyone who does not have working legs, and forget about a table upstairs, THOSE are stairs, not an escalator! In fact the only thing I could find you do for the disabled or more like to the disabled is to clog up the sidewalk on Park Ave. During the summer, with a bunch of drunks who do not want to move out of the way of people In wheelchairs. And THANK YOU for the trash, broken glass and vomit all over the sidewalk come Monday Morning. Thank you so much for your disability support, (I mean REALLY, not even a chair) ; and OH WELL, for reccommending your business to any family or friends, this, coming from a 3rd generation Montanan in their later years, with hundreds of family & friends. “I have lived in Helena for a few years and had never heard of Bad Betty’s until today, and let me just say my life was CHANGED! I ordered a mac daddy bowl with pulled pork, and each mouthwatering bite just left me wanting more. The Slaw and pickles on top sealed the deal, and my only critique of the food is that I wish I could have a whole jar of their pickles! The people were very nice, and the actual shop is very cute- it could just use some music to liven the place up. Definitely worth the stop in Helena!”

“We always stop for chicken when we come to town. It's always delicious! We always plan for a bit of a wait for a table and a bit more of a wait for food, but the chicken is worth it. Sadly tonight we had a less than pleasant experience. We were able to get a table and order right away, things were looking great. Then we waited and waited and waited... The table that sat down after we ordered got their food. Then we waited and the table next to us that arrived 20 minutes after we ordered got their food. The waitress was friendly and apologetic and told us it would be 7 more minutes. Ten minutes later and over 45 minutes after we ordered our 1 chicken dinner it arrived. The chicken was good as always but we weren't offered any type of recompense for our wait and in fact were given the wrong ticket. Not sure where the error was made but do better Suds Hut! We will be thinking about this experience next time we are in town and may choose to go elsewhere.”

We enjoyed a few drinks at the bar, shared stories with them all and enjoyed our morning, bought some merchandise to proudly wear on our trip and left feeling welcomed. Great local long standing establishment. They have keno machines, karaoke some nights and horseshoes out back. Couldn’t think of any better way to start off our 4th of July.”

Gluten-freen, Naked brand organic white bread, and Franz seeded dark bread varieties are all carried here, which allows me to purchase everything I need during one stop for great value. This shop also offers specialty grocery items like gravy mixes, noodles, Montana gift specialties, jellies, and jams. Nice!At Franz Bakery Outlet, I refill our freezer for less than the cost of 2 loaves of gluten-free bread at the grocery store. I oftrn have extra bonus bread and treats to share with the Food Bank, friends, or even to bring home raspberry filled donuts for a Sunday morning treat. Super Nice!”

“Good cheap food. Great staff. The chicken ceasar salad is delicious and good size for $4. The hot dog's are just like you get at the ball park, and comes with a drink for only $1.50. The pizza is really good and they have 3 options. Pepperoni, all meat, and combination. Would recommend to anyone wanting a quick cheap meal.”

Between the Gold Bar and Western Bar there are multiple bars, multiple rooms, great music, even better drinks, and fantastic bartenders! In a previous review, I'd mentioned small portions - today's all you care to eat riblets, shrimp, or wings feast enjoyed by the men at our table put that complaint to rest. Our guest and I opted for 2/$25 menu meals. The salads were delicious and fresh. My Fiesta Chicken and her Chicken Tenders meals were both tasty. We'll be back.”
