When I was there I felt like I was Garfield and the entire place was a giant lasagna that’s how good literally everything there is.
great beer guy Sean behind the counter. knowledgeable about not only the beers here but about various breweries in the Bitterroot where I'm from.
Crisp and refreshing would be a great way to describe the craft German lager and the mid-winter evening on the rooftop deck. When it was time to warm up at the bar, the wait staff was friendly and engaging. Definitely looking forward to my next visit to Helena and Mt. Ascension Brewing Company.

Based on the reviews, Mt Ascension Gastropub is one of the best spots in Helena. The atmosphere is great and one of the best spots in town. The rooftop views are awesome, and the beer selection is legit. The food is excellent, always on point, and absolutely delicious. The popcorn chicken is especially amazing, a sleeper hit that is crispy and flavorful. The fries are excellent too. The service is fantastic, with five star service all around. The staff are all awesome, friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The team there makes everyone feel like they belong. It is a very relaxed environment. Definitely recommend for lunch or a beer and a snack.
