First time in Helena, and I had an awesome time walking around the beautiful old town area surrounding this excellent bar. Very interesting and palpable history. On my way walking back to my hotel I noticed a large police presence, and was informed that there was an active shooter situation and that I should seek shelter inside. Luckily, I was next to The Gold and Western Bar, so I knocked and eventually won my way inside to safety.

Amazing atmosphere, amazing customer service, when very busy the employees are quick and get the job done with great attitudes
Sara is the best! She's literally the only reason I have ever even been there, she knows how to make a dang good drink and her customer service is top notch. She has good drink reccomendations and is honestly a whole vibe on her own, best bartender there!
