Jalisco continues to deliver solid mexican style 'soul food'. Service continues to be the standout; food delivered piping, a smile, and they follow up. May not be as spicy as I prefer, but Jalisco caters to what most Montanans prefer, i.e. large portions.

I had lunch there today. I had the 2 chicken enchiladas with a tamale plus a Verde chimichanga. The food came piping hot, and was delicious. The service was excellent.

Sigh, kind of disappointed in our meal today. I decided to try something different and got their “Chile relleno” and I’m putting that in quotes because it’s not even remotely close to a chile relleno. Picture below to show. It’s a pickled jalapeño that was filleted open, and wrapped in a fried egg. Totally not what I was hoping for, as a chille relleno is a different kind of pepper, stuffed with cheese and dipped in an egg white batter and fried. But no worries because I got an enchilada to go along with it, except it was so wet, the tortilla quite literally fell apart and resembled the texture of melted cheese. Not a huge fan of this meal. The saving grace of this meal was the rice and beans, those were wonderful and I ate them with the chips that came along with my meal. I’m not writing this review to bash, but so that others who want a Chile relleno don’t go in expecting one and receive whatever this was instead. 3/5 due to the beans and rice being good. Photo below is the pepper and the egg from my “Chile relleno” and the mushed up stuff on the side is the remainder of the tortilla from the enchilada which I didn’t finish eating because the texture was so wet.

Great food, nicely spaced so you don't feel like you are sitting on top of other people, friendly staff, quick service, only one little issue.....small water cups that were cracked so they leak lol
Wheelchair accessibility: There are a couple small steps in front door
The only thing I could ask for is that the salsa and food could have been a bit spicier, but that's my pallet. Service was fast, food tasted fresher than any Mexican food I can remember in a long time, and priced just right for the huge portions.

Ordered over the phone, they were pretty busy had to wait 30 min and still wasn’t ready so another 10-15 inside. Wasn’t even acknowledge by the one waitress as she walked by me probably 3-4 times. Got the food home and my enchilada and chimichanga had no sauce on or in it. Rice was insanely crunchy and so fricken salty.
With all of the other Mexican restaurants in Helena don’t waste your money here! Weak drinks, rude staff and for as hot as the plates were you wouldn’t think the overpriced bland food would be cold too
