We stopped in on a whim and they were able to seat us immediately (I would recommend reservations, though). We ordered the Italian Sausage Cavatappi and the sausage and mushroom lasagna and everything from the amuse bouche to the salad to the main to the dessert were nothing short of amazing.
I lived in northern Italy for over 6 years and Chef Mike's dishes are better than the food I had while living there.
I will do my best to get a reservation here at Luccas every time I know I will come through Helena.

The food is ok, but the worst part about this place is how stuck up and snooty the owners are. No food to go. Didn't provide any food to the Rialto prior to change in ownership. It is just such a stuck-up full-of-ourselves restaurant that it makes me hate it. This place is the definition of self important

I love going here the service is always top notch. The baked fontina cheese is absolutely to die for 10/10 would recommend that as a appetizer. So far I have never had a bad dish here.

Tonight, J.C was my sever for my birthday dinner. He was very attentive and gave quick, considerate service. He truly made this dining experience 10/10, and I highly recommend him as one of the best servers I’ve ever had.

The hostess and server were great and as much as I wanted to love the food, it was just ok at best. We ordered the calamari, the pork chop, and the shrimp and scallop pasta. All in all, the seafood and the pork were cooked to perfection, but failed to wow us in flavor. What I absolutely can't get past is the pasta I ordered was not only severely overcooked, but it was like they had broken the noodles up into smaller pieces before cooking them so instead of long luxurious angel hair, I got angel hair that was at the longest two inches. The shrimp and scallops were cooked to perfection but the sauce was sweet and not at all citrusy like the description had said it would be- almost more like a sherry cream or a masala cream sauce which is a very heavy sauce to pair with seafood and overcooked pasta. All in all, the service was good but the food was lacking.
