I was hungry for a pasta dish, so I ordered the Baked Ziti. What was detailed on the menu: spicy Italian sausage - it was made with chicken, velvety meat sauce - a heavy tomato sauce was slathered on the top, meat?, ricotta - a dollop on top that was not mixed into the pasta, and topped with mozzarella and parm - couldn't tell if that was there or not. It was a slapped together mess.

Whitefish store 16 months ago...absolutely great! Last night's experience at our local Helena store....disappointing. It's clearly a staffing/management problem; Inattentive, clueless server, poorly constructed sandwiches, and the whole place could use a good dusting/cleaning. Frozen cole slaw, no utensils, begged for napkins and $3 soda refill, soggy toasted sandwich bread with wrestling match to keep the ingredients from sliding off. Used to be an occasional go-to local restaurant. No more. Plenty of better alternatives

The mack lovin was absolutely tasteful, to quench my thirst I had a tasteful glass of cold H2O. Sam our server had my glass of cold H2O always full so I was never parched while enjoying my meal. Sam you did great!

Sarah was a great server! There was a small issue with our lodgepoles (they came out with no pesto) and it was promptly fixed and we were comped a dessert as well. Great service and great food!

We have always had a great experience at this MacKenzie River Pizza but not tonight. It took 2.5 hrs for a small pizza and a salad. Not sure why service was so slow. My salad was not good at all with big globs of goat cheese. I couldn't finish it. The pizza finally came out and I waited another 5 minutes before my salad came out. For over $40 , this is sad and disappointing.

We were really disappointed in this location. We've been to other locations and haven't had bad food or service but this night we did. Right from when we walked in, the hostess was the opposite of warm & welcoming. The service was really slow & we think our server forgot to enter food. Our lodgepoles came out but no salad. About 15 min AFTER we were done our other starter, she brought the salad. All the salad was was lettuce in a bowl with a takeout container of dressing - they don't toss the salads anymore? And if that's all it was, why did it take so long? When our meal finally came out, it was disappointing too. First my salad came out (Thai salad) and again not tossed with dressing, just a takeout container of dressing on side. And then the pizza came later - again, I wonder if she forgot to enter it? The pizza looks like it got dropped and the ingredients were half slid off!We will likely never visit this location again. I've never had a bad experience at the Whitefish location. We also sat with our starter plates and dishes for a long time - the server had been to our table a few times & never took it. She would bring a new drink but leave the empty glass & dishes.

Me and my husband had lunch here today and it was disappointing. Our server Cleo wasn't very attentive, our food for the most part was Luke warm like it was cooked in the microwave for maybe a minute then deemed appropriate to serve. As a result we didn't tip and won't return.
Good food, good atmosphere, talented and dedicated staff.

We went to an early dinner before our New Year's Eve plans. The server was absolutely wonderful. She honestly made the meal better. In terms of the food, I had the steak fajita sandwich. It was prepared well, the sauce was spot on and the onions and peppers were nice and soft. One of the best sandwiches that I've had there.
