This is the BEST Mexican food in Helena. Staff is very friendly a great atmosphere to enjoy.

The salsa tasted and looked like it came out of a Great Value chunky salsa jar. They also have no cheese dip. What kind of Mexican Restaurant doesn’t have cheese dip? Instead, they serve every order with yellow nasty cheese. Wasted $50 and ruined our day. Wouldn’t recommend.

Please don’t listen to the reviews. We did and we’re immediately sorry as soon as we got our food. I could have made this food at home. Greasy, microwaved looking food. The cheese was not authentic Mexican goat cheese but some kraft cheese abomination. I was literally nauseated trying to eat. As much as we tried because it was costly, we just couldn’t finish our meal. Left and went to chipotle immediately after.

Melaque gets everything right!!! Don’t panic if you see a crowded lobby. Staff do a great job of not making anyone wait too long to get a table. And if you’re lucky enough to get Shayna to be your server you’ll enjoy the experience even more!

I wanted to eat there because I was staying overnight and I had heard it was really good food. But yeah, by the time I got there there was too long, a wait and I was stuck in the lobby, so I couldn't see the restaurant, couldn't smell the food. And I couldn't experience a white staff. So if you've got an hour on your hands Then go experience it. If you don't, then go try Taco Bell.

It was not good at all, the enchiladas only had chicken in it and the tacos did not offer much. The chimichanga was very chewy not pleasant. was not true Mexican food at all. No flavor what so ever. Would not recommend to anyone

When I give a restaurant all 5 stars, I mean it, and Melaque Mexican Restaurant absolutely earns every single one. The service was outstanding; our server was incredibly attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. The food was simply amazing, fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.

The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a classic family Mexican restaurant: warm, welcoming, and full of authentic charm. From start to finish, it was an exceptional dining experience
