What started out as a lucky find on a Sunday for coffee has turned into my favorite place for brunch! Great food, awesome staff and a fun cozy atmosphere make this a must visit 😊

Hands down the best cafe in town. It's small town comfort food that reminds you of your grandmas cooking. There isn't a bad dish on the menu.

The absolute best surprise we have stumbled upon in ages, if not ever! The food, ohhhhh the food was phenomenal, the service and staff were tremendous and the experience was wonderful. We will be back to try everything on the menu.

Easily one of the top 3 vegan breakfast burritos we’ve ever had. Cozy atmosphere and incredibly kind and hard-working staff. Highly recommend!

Look no further for vegan and vegetarian options. I am seeing descriptions of a ā€œsecretā€ vegan burrito but in 2025 they have the vegan burrito directly on the menu. Cash and check only place. They have an atm inside. Highly recommend for versatile items.

Delicous coffee. The most incredible vegitarian omelet I've ever had. Don't forget the avocado!

We ordered two of the ā€œvegan breakfast burritosā€. I was starving and too trusting so I didn’t realize until half way thru mine that it was actually egg and meat and cheese. Then when we looked at the bill it just said breakfast burritos.. felt violated all day. Criminal!

Today, our ROMEO Club of Helena visited a restaurant with a terrible name for a place that serves food. In fact, the name is what has kept us from visiting this prior to today. The name is the ā€œNo Sweat Cafeā€ and I just don’t want to be thinking about bodily fluids when I’m eating out.
The No Sweat Cafe is located in a quaint old building on Last Chance Gulch in the downtown Helena area. Eclectic artwork by a local artist is displayed for sale on the walls. The seating is comprised of wooden chairs and booths.
This restaurant accepts cash or checks only, but they have an ATM conveniently located on site, which charges a couple bucks to use.
Coffee is average cafe coffee. Our server started out a little slow on refills. But improved after a couple promptings. The background music is a little loud causing Otto to not be able to hear normal conversation.

On the tables next to the salt and pepper shakers is another shaker with an orange substance. I discovered through tasting that it was a chili powder mixture. I tasted it so that you won’t have to. I somewhat regret it. After I tried it Otto also tried it and, by the look on his face, I could tell that he also regretted it.

Our ROMEO Club had a few extra guys along as we enjoy a family reunion. I ordered a burger with hash browns instead of chips, while everyone else ordered some form of breakfast.

My burger didn’t come out with everyone else’s breakfasts. In fact, they didn’t put my burger on the grill until after they delivered everyone else’s meals and wondered why I didn’t have anything. She even asked me, ā€œWhat was your order?ā€

While waiting on my meal, I figured that I might as well ask everyone how their food was. Steven’s dish was covered in fresh cilantro, which he set aside, as he remarked, ā€œThe salsa is good.ā€
Jay stated, ā€œThe food was ok. The eggs were cooked a little short of how I ordered them. The sausage was spicy, and the bacon was salty. Overall the food tasted good, but the coffee was just average. ā€œ
Luke said, ā€œIt was good. I liked it. I’d give it a C+.ā€
Rocco, ā€œIt was just a standard breakfast, nothing special.ā€
ā€œFood was average.ā€œ Otto.

Once my burger was finally delivered, I found the flavor to be delicious, a nicely cooked burger with the standard toppings and some kind of savory sauce on a ciabatta bun. Everyone at the table got to watch me enjoy it as they finished their meals as mine was being delivered. I can’t speak for the flavor of the hash browns, because I forgot to add them when I reordered.

Our server offered no apologies for the order malfunction, however, as compensation they deducted 10% off the total bill and didn’t charge me for the hash browns (which they hadn’t delivered.) They also didn’t charge us for the three coffees.

We ordered separately, which our server acknowledged, but still put all the charges on one ticket making it difficult to figure out who owed what. That whole business with the single ticket seemed like fuzzy math.

Mistakes happen, but of course I was disappointed in the fact that they forgot my order.

There are much worse places to eat in Helena, but there are also much better places to eat within a few blocks of this location.

Very small old-style sit-down cafe. Cash only. Great food and environment but tends to be very busy. Be prepared for a wait to get a seat if you are not there when the door opens, but well-worth it .

We had been warned that service had declined. But our experience was great. Fast and friendly.
