If you are looking for some good classic American fare, this would be the place to try. My husband had the chicken fried steak and I had the Friday night prime rib. We were both very happy with our choices. They came with a choice of soup or salad. We had the tomato bisque soup (delicious!) and a generous salad. This is a small town cafe attached to a bar. I had fish n chips and my son had a Philly sandwich. The food was acceptable and the service was good. Smiths may be the only place in E Helena that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
While visiting here in Montana we stop by this nice little place to eat ,I have to admit it was pretty awesome, the waitress was attentive and down to earth kept my drink full which is one of my big pet peeves, I ordered the special because that's what I do which was a spicy jalapeno Smashburger that was cooked to perfection it was topped with some excellent cheese ,french fries or tater tots this place is definitely a place to stop, the cook knows how to prepare food excellent...
