Nice atmosphere. Food is very lacking. We ordered 3 meals and no one was happy. My roasted carrots were still cold in the middle and completely raw on the inside. Steak was only okay at best. Zero crust formed on the steak. Like, was this steamed? How does this place get good reviews? I am boggled. I personally will never be back.

A must go to for special occasions. They have heated igloos in the winter outside that is such an amazing experience! This is an old historic home that was converted into a restaurant so the environment is very cool. The food is amazing. Recommended appetizer is the candies bacon! Wine on tap was our favorite, but they have several other choices as well. The patio in the summer is so enjoyable. They have a really cool gift shop on sight that has lots of interesting stuff. Reservations are required, highly recommend going if you are looking for somewhere special in the Helena area.

I am so disappointed with this experience. The risotto was under cooked, my medium rare steak was well done, the candied bacon was cold and burnt. We had been so looking forward to trying this food. I don’t mind paying for good food. This was unseasoned, overcooked, undercooked…all the worst things about food on each plate. So sad. We got “upgraded” to one of the igloos. Don’t bother. 30 minutes to get our first beer. The server was lovely. That was the best part of the night

This place was exceptional. I was there for a business dinner with a large group. The staff were incredible. The food was delicious. The next morning at our meeting, all of us who attended the dinner were gushing over how great our experience was. I highly recommend this place!

This place used to be a five star across the board. There's new owners. The service was beyond slow and the steak I ordered was extra rare and I ordered medium. The crab cakes, bacon and br3ad were the best part

Dietary restrictions: They had vegetarian AND gluten free options. Vegetable Pasta, with gluten free noodles. I'm gonna be trying that next time. This time I had the Ceasar Salad. (My husband did the reservation, I was not all that hungry. But I still, ate more than half of that salad) I am a fiend for ceasar salads and it was the best one I have ever eaten in my life. From the parmesean cheese chips, to the cheese/dressing ratio, croutons. I WILLLL be back for that. For sure. Thank youuu!

This was our first visit but had wanted to go forever. There were four of us and hands down the favorite dish was the seafood pasta. Bacon wrapped steak was melt in your mouth tender. Duck - I’d have preferred less Sage (don’t hold me to that as the spice but do ask if Sage isn’t your thing). Women’s bathroom is so cool - lots of old photos of cowgirls!!! So lucky to have this local treasure in Helena - if the walls could speak because I think this building was built on the late 1800’s. We believe it is best to support our local restaurants - we’re out on the national chains ?

My family and I have dined here early a dozen times and we have had the same friendly knowledgeable staff and of course the incredible food. Best filet mignon in Helena, amazing pastas and don't forget the candied bacon.... the ingredients are top notch, not to mention their extensive and varietal wine list. Highly recommend

Lovely place but service was very slow I couldn't even get water refilled withoutflagging someone down. By the time food came out1.5 hrs later, it was cold.
Typically, I don't write reviews but to pay over a hundred and not have good service or food is very disappointing

Was ok. Really wanted the chicken and they had ran out thought that was weird
Told them we were celebrating two birthdays would have been nice to highlight that a little nothing though after spending so much. Ordered a red wine at beginning of service and everyone got their drinks mine was forgotten until dinner even though was told she’d be right back with it, almost went looking for waitstaff to try and get it. Expected at least a comped glass for waiting so long had an whole appetizer without a drink and nothing but a little joke out of it from the waitress that she thought I drank it already, good service would have comped a glass. Steak was a little overcooked. Probably won’t recommend or go back for the price and service. Sad but I don’t see this place lasting with the subpar service.

My husband and I were visiting town for the Gates to the Mountain boat tour and Anniversary.

We were very pleasantly surprised with the beauty, peace and comfort of both the indoor and outdoor spaces from the first moment of entering the parking lot.

The sommelier gave us excellent guidance on a delicious Vouvray from France.

Everything was absolutely fantastic!
