This is a reliable and clean place to eat. The service may be slow at times, but the food is always worth the wait. It is hearty, fresh and prepared with care. Other nearby restaurants can be hit and miss, but Second Home is always a sure bet for good down home food and atmosphere.Parking: This restaurant has a large lot right off the highway with room for big rig and RV parking with two entrances and exits for easy in and out.

The food was really great, and I cannot say enough about the split pea and ham soup, which was delicious, but our nachos were dry, unfortunately. Would not stop us from coming back though! I would say that the prices are high’ish. Every entrée is over $20 but you do get a trip to the salad bar so that’s nice and the salad bars very fresh.
