“I was disappointed that the popovers are not complimentary anymore. We were also disappointed in the chocolate flourless dessert. Very dry, like it was old. When I asked about the wine, I was disappointed that the waiter did not offer me a taste of the two wines I was thinking of. My experience at the Mercantile was not as good as it has been in the past. On a positive note, the smoked rare prime rib was fabulous.“

“We celebrated our one year anniversary at Freestone and let me tell you it was absolutely fantastic! What a hidden gem in Kalispell. Being a foodie and former restaurant manager, I'm always searching for places that are above and beyond the normal dining experience. We all have to eat, but sometimes you want something that surprises and wows you, especially for a special occasion. Freestone was that for every aspect of our evening. Our server McKenzie was so warm and personable, she made us feel special the entire evening! The cocktails were incredible and the food was so amazing, we ate every bite! We are oyster lovers and these were some of the BEST we've ever had. The whole restaurant is very well appointed, from the real oil candles to the gorgeous cocktail drinkware to the presentation of each carefully crafted dish. We both were blown away and I've dined all over the world. This is now going to be one of our favorite spots and we can't wait to bring family and friends! Please try them, you won't be disappointed!!!“
