Need (more) gluten free options please, such as bread and pasta, Fries too.(Try the Local Red Poppy GF Bakery for wholesale options?) Portabello mushroom: interesting combo of flavors, but a hot mushroom filled with a cold -salsa (too many red onions) on cold quinoa? Y'all could make it a Hot dish...otherwise it tastes lukewarm...ehh... Also it either has gluten in it or soy... i am allergic to both and had a reaction. Freestone, let us know if you change any of these things! ? service was great, and if youre a meat eater, lots of choices in that direction!

Sitting at the Freestone bar right now, took a few minutes to get a drink. Found out they don't have Thursday night football on. The bar seems like they are trying to be high end without the high-end service. Maybe this is high-end for Kalispell.

I knew nothing about Freestone prior to making the reservation for my wife's birthday, but she really likes great fine dining, so I took a chance. Everything was great from service to food... especially food! It was a lovely and memorable dinner in Kalispell which has a dearth of fine dining. Thanks guys!

We had reservations, but we ended up spending two hours here waiting for our food and the check. We got the strawberry arugula salad, the shrimp skewer, rack of lamb and their chicken bao buns. The bao buns appetizer was delicious! Excellent flavor and texture. However, the shrimp was tough and rubbery, and the rack of lamb was over cooked, and its rice bed was nearly mush and overcooked. Portions are small but flavorful. It may have been an off night, but the wait staff seemed to forget about us.

Really good food, really good atmosphere. The bao buns and fish tacos were definitely the stars but we ordered 5 different items and all were good.

Amazing food and service! My husband got the salt block steak and I got the lobster Mac n cheese both were spectacular separately and then we dipped some of the steak in my cheese sauce and I literally cried it was so good! You can tell the chef takes pride in his cooking and loves to try new things/bring new recipes to the valley.

Kid-friendliness: I would not recommend bringing kids. I didn't see a kids menu and it was a very formal restaurant. If you have really well behaved kids you can probably do it

Service was very slow. Ordered a specialty drink from the cocktail menu. Took forever. One of the worst bourbon drinks ever. No vanilla to it per the description- just straight up cheap bourbon. Pork buns were very good. Crispy bits of tender pork. Bread service took forever and they do give you complimentary bread- but not slot. Salmon was okay. Too sweet. Husband said the snapper was dry. Will go back just because it was clear the wait staff was having a tough night.

The staff was accommodating to our group of 7! Our cut of meat was subpar & the veggies were undercooked but the bread service was phenomenal! It was a nice experience & a welcomed change of pace for our Montana trip.

This is a new favorite in the Flathead Valley and we're so glad we found it. The experience was great, the food was fantastic and the ambience is still very "Montana" but chic enough to fit the more upscale menu. 10/10 recommend and we'll be back for sure.

We had a business dinner with a couple business partners. We all said how nice it was not to feel rushed through our dinner. Our server was very attentive and made sure the drinks and food kept flowing. It was a perfect pace. The service and food were amazing! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

We both had coho salmon-glaze generally good - a bit heavy on the paprika rub for so delicate a fish. Couscous very good. Boccollini very woody and hard to cut. Ceasar salad and wedge very very good.

Very nice restaurant, conveniently located. Nice decor and a good vibe. The food was excellent and a good value. We did not leave hungry. The service was great. All round a memorable experience.

Overall a very pleasant experience. The service was excellent, the menu is extensive from burgers to seafood and steaks. The atmosphere is lively but not too loud to have a conversation at your table. We will return based on this experience.
