These guys are awesome! Ok sans is one of the best servers in the Flathead! Great food! Pricey but worth the fun family experience for cooking in front of the kids!

Visiting Kalispell and wanted some chicken teriyaki. This place turned up in my search. I wish I'd gone anywhere else. The miso soup was the only good part of the meal. The chicken was super dry. The steamed rice was dry. Even dumping two containers of sauce on the chicken couldn't do a thing to help.

This was my son's introduction production. The chefs were so patient with all of his questions while he watched them make his lunch. He gives you 5 stars!!

Food was very good. Went here for my birthday, but the server i think his name was Jesse, gave us terrible service. We had to go to the server stand to put our drink order after we got our food and ask for chopsticks after he asked everyone at the hibachi bar, but us, if they wanted chopsticks. We also got all of our food at completely different times and got some of our questions answered completely wrong. Overall he made the experience not as enjoyable as Kobe usually is.

For a restaurant that prides itself on being a steak and sushi destination, the lack of service was unacceptable. I won’t be returning.

The food was really good. Big portions and the price for the Hibachi is average. We ordered Hibachi, sushi, and chicken fried rice. The suggestinon I would give is to clean the floors more often, and the hostess should be nicer and more informative about how the restaurant works. Overall I recommend this place.

Not what I was expecting. The only good thing about our experience was our waitress. We went at 530pm on a Saturday for a birthday in our party of 4. The waitress told our chef about it twice and while he was cooking for us he never said a word to our birthday guest. The tray of squirter bottle sauces was filthy! The food was so-so. The miso and onion soup tasted the same. The miso separated and unless you stirred it after every bite it separated into granular globs in the broth. There was only the broth and some sort of green leaf in our miso. So disappointing, won't be going back. I wish I could include a picture of the bottles.

Update 2024: Had steak on the sushi side and it was great. The waitress was great as well, I appreciate her getting my glass instead of plastic. The recent visits in 2023-4 have been much better than in 2021, giving a higher rating!

Update November 2021: I don't recommend getting the expensive "imperial" Kobe steak and lobster, the hibachi cook overcooked them and both were tough. I couldn't even see a visible difference between the New York strip and the Kobe! The waitress was somewhat new and didn't do a very good job. $150 down the drain.

The sushi is really good, definitely worth a visit. However, the tempura was extremely greasy, I couldn't eat it. That means the fryer temp is too low, which can happen if they are really busy and frying a lot.

The manager replaced the tempura with something else and was apologetic, thankfully.

On 9/9/24, my family had dinner at Kobe Steakhouse.  We sat at a hibachi table, not in the sushi area.  Our chef brought out the vegetables and prepared those first, and when he served them onto our plates, there was a used band aid on one of our plates, mixed in with our vegetables.  When we pointed it out to him, he said "sorry," and picked out the band aid and threw it in the trash.  He left the plate, apparently expecting us to eat from that plate.  I insisted that he give us a new plate with new vegetables, so he discussed it with the chef behind him, and had him make a new plate, as he had already moved on to cooking the meat on the grill.
We were so shocked (and starving), that we did not think to leave at that point....
When our server brought us our ticket, I let her know what happened and she was horrified and took our ticket back and said she was going to go speak to the manager about comping our meal.  (Our daughter was treating us and she is the one that got the band aid in her meal, and she ordered the most expensive thing on the menu!) She came back and said the manager would not do anything and she was very apologetic.  He did not even come out and apologize.
Obviously, we will never go back there.  The band aid could have come from the prep staff that cut up all the vegetables, or from the chef, we have no idea.  Has anyone else had this experience? I wish there was a -10 score for them....
