We stopped by for the first time tonight. We were there for over an hour and had to request the pizza to go for the sake of the toddlers with us. We were hoping for a family-friendly atmosphere, and the wait was just too much for the littles. When we did get the pizzas, the crusts were extremely burnt.

I ordered 3 large pizzas this evening from Nickerbokkers, the two I ordered for my kids were great, classic wood fired crust with cheese cooked to golden perfection. The third pizza I ordered I was stretching a bit as it was a build your own and I was aiming for a "neopolitan style or margherita", extra sauce, dollops of mozzarella and plenty of fresh basil leafs. I left a note in the special order section hoping my prayers would be answered as this is about the only place in town where this would be a feasable request. When the pizza arrived it had a note attatched to it that explained that they no longer carried fresh basil and had substituted with dried...at this point my hopes had been dashed and I left a quick google review notifying Nickerbokkers that they had let me down on my custom pizza. Now.. the important part is what happens next as we live in the 21st century where customer service has all but ceased to exist, the owner calls me up and explains that they no longer carry fresh basil as it goes bad too quickly and it hasn't been a popular enough item to keep on hand. He apologized for missing that option when he changed the toppings available on his website and apologized for not calling before substituting the dried basil to see if I wanted to change my order. He offered me a discount for the next time I come in (which I will) as the pizza is great. Moral of the story kids.. customer service is very important, there's a dozen places around town I refuse to give my business to and Nickerbokkers is NOT one of them
Great service, they do iceless water! Fail army on the telle, I came in and sat myself...... lighting is nice not to dim.... has a wonderful vibe. Thanks all

We were from out off of town wanting to get pizza. We decided to try a local spot. We ordered take out. Initially, the app told us our pizza was delayed, but we only waited about 5 minutes longer than expected. It was very good. I loved the thin crispy crust, and the toppings and sauce were very good. I would definitely have this again and maybe dine in. It had a very fun atmosphere and was clean with a good wait staff.

Overall: Service is not good, especially for take out, but the pizza was excellent for thin crust.I did a pickup order that was not ready for 20 minutes past the quoted time. The waitress was not looking out for people picking up orders, as there was another customer behind me who also went unhelped and had to flag somebody down. She made no apology for the fact that my pizza would be delayed, and when she delivered me the pizza, she literally did not say a single word to me. I felt so uncomfortable during the entire interaction by her manner and lack of acknowledgment. The woman who took my order also had a similar attitude on the phone, and implied in her tone that the call was inconveniencing her, never saying thank you for the order or conveying friendliness in her tone. There feels like very little appreciation for customers here. This was especially frustrating as I had a kicking and screaming toddler in my arms the entire time I was waiting - this is why I ordered to take out, so I wouldn't have to deal with a tired toddler in a restaurant setting.I had the fancy face Pizza, which was perfectly cooked and the toppings tasted fresh and were beautifully arranged.
First time my husband and I ate here. We loved the last place. Sign said seat yourself, so we did. The place was empty at 5 pm. The gentleman behind the counter did see us come in and ignored us. Someone came in after us and placed a to go order with him-still no service. Finally my husband went up to the counter and asked if we are to order up there or does someone come and take our order at the table? The food arrived pizza was not hot and the crust on the bottom was mushy. Needless to say we will not be back and most definitely will stick with Moose's Pizza....100% better. We had to ask for boxes and our check as the server and I'm assuming the owner were talking with another table. Word of mouth is everything.
