Porteus BBQ catered our wedding last weekend and we, including all of our guests, highly recommend their service! The serving staff were very friendly and professional. They also checked in with us before they left for the evening to be sure everything was okay. The brisket was absolutely amazing! We heard many compliments through the night and the next day. Leading up to our wedding, Sherry was thorough and answered all of my many questions. Thank you to all of the Porteus BBQ staff for catering such a delicious meal for us and all of our friends & family.

Sherry and the Porteus crew are wonderful!! We hired them to cater the welcome party for our wedding, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park–the food was FANTASTIC, and Sherry was communicative, friendly, professional, so flexible and easy to work with, and knew exactly what we needed to satisfy a group of 110. All the stars–hire Sherry and crew for your wedding! Do it! DO IT!
We ordered from their food truck on July 4th. Brisket was very dried out and sauce did not help. There are much better places in the valley that serve bbq. Sadly this is not worth ordering.
So I get off work about 9ish and headed over to pig out in the park Spokane. I understand it was almost closing time but really wanted some ribs. They had 2 orders left. The flavor was pretty good. But they seemed to be cooked a little too long (for me). When I bite into a rib it should be tender but also have some texture to it not chewy but a little resistant. These were almost like eating mashed potatoes. It reminded me of when I was much younger and my dad used to par-boil the ribs to cook them faster. I have been eating ribs my whole life and consider myself well read. They were just too soft for me. I need to know I'm eating meat but at the same time like it tender. It's difficult to get them right in the sweet spot. Especially when doing a large gig like that. It's just one person's opinion.
Huckleberry finished brisket sandwich was so good. The brisket was tender and juicy, with a sauce that didn’t overpower it but still added extra brightness. So good. Back ribs were incredibly juicy with a great bite, good pull and a (mostly) clean bone. Again great sauce. Overall - Smokiness was sweet, spicy and clean - no bitterness but lots of good smoke. It really brought out the good flavor of the meat. Rubs weren’t overpowering but present and again complimented the meat really well. It feels like bbq for people who really love good bbq. Also pricing was awesome, a much better value than I would have thought at a fair. Owners were kind, professional and fun to talk to. A hidden gem in pig out in the park in Spokane for sure.
Porteus BBQ catered my wedding and they were amazing in every aspect! Super easy to work with and very accommodating. The food was incredible as well! Great bang for your buck and everyone was raving about the food all night! We were extremely happy with our choice and would recommend them to anyone!

Porteus BBQ provided delicious food for our 130 person wedding! Sherry was lovely to work with and addressed all questions when I reached out. My only wish is that we had more of the yummy BBQ sauce options for our extra pork leftovers! Other than that post-event reflection, the crew delivered a wonderful meal :)
Just had brisket quesadilla prior to Depot Park Summer Concert 7/5/22, ‘shoe leather’, tossed in can, wasted $.

Why would it take 30 minutes to drizzle premade cheese sauce, throw on pre-cooked pulled pork, and toss some cole slaw on some chips.The food was fine if you put extra sauce on it. Food wasn’t even hot.
We used Porteus BBQ for our 160 guest wedding and everything was so delicious! Their prices, options & catering services were amazing, they even packaged up all our leftovers for us at the end of the service. We would absolutely use them again for a party, everyone raved about how good the food was! Thank you Porteus !

Cold, brisket. Brisket was returned to the kitchen. Without gloves, and with bare hand was slid into a container, and put in warmer. Came back dry. Would not eat due to hygiene issue.
