Mabel’s was wonderful. It has closed in the past 6 months:( we are sad to see her smiling face gone. As well as her salsa and frijoles♥️
So sad this place closed down :(
Good food. Just need to ensure that the meat to potatoes ratio is better in some dishes.
Best food! Your treated like family here!
Happy and friendly folks. Excellent food!
Great food great people
Wonderful food and a great little locally owned place.
Great authentic Mexican food. Weird hours .
My wife and I love this little hidden gem in Laurel. We get take out, and it's so delicious every single time. The woman who takes our order, who I assume is the owner, is sweet and patient, always!
Went with a co-worker, on his recommendation. I had the beef steak. It was only "ok" nothing special. The beans were very soupy, the rice was bland and the salsa had just a touch of flavor. The meal was $10.00. Portion size was reasonable for the price. Meh. Not bad, not great. If I go back, I will try something different.

A coupon brought us to try Mabel's for the first time. The food was good but we were shocked when the owner refused to honor the printed coupon. She explained that while she had issued it in years past, she didn't intend to this year.
If you want real not American Mex but real Mex. This is a must
Mabel is great and so is the food. Not many places where you can bring your own beer or wine.
Great place to eat, family owned, authentic Mexican, friendly staff!
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service. The food was alright, but our server (who seemed to be the owner) never got us refills on anything, never asked us how the food was, and literally never showed one bit of personality. She would sit on her phone next to her "regulars" and have a conversation with them while we were waiting for something as simple as a refill. It wasn't like she was talking to her regulars for a couple minutes or anything, she literally sat down next to them the WHOLE time we were in the restaurant!
