Fantastic food and great service! Stephen was a very attentive waiter and had great suggestions for wine, food, and dessert. The beef tenderloin was one of the most tender and flavorful pieces of meat I’ve ever eaten. The mussels were also fantastic. I can’t wait to go here again!

Fantastic restaurant in Livingston. The scallops were the best my wife has ever had. My elk short ribs were not what I expected but we're great. This will be a regular spot for us now. You can tell they work hard to ensure they run efficiently and provide a great experience. And specifically Muriel made the night spectacular. Ask for her! (Only if we're not dining that night...)

What a gem of a restaurant! Food and beverage are the perfect balance of local and global. Tried the elk ragu and was thoroughly impressed. Farro risotto was a delicious vegetarian option (albeit a bit small). Amazing basque cake for dessert.
The menu seems to swap out often, which to me is a welcome treat.
The service and atmosphere was great as well. Our server had plenty of great recommendations. The decor is simple but elevated. Perfect for a special night out with loved ones.

Looking for an "uptown" experience in a small MT town? Welllll, consider the 2nd Street Bistro.
Like you, we have enjoyed many fine meals, attentively served, over the years. 2nd Street Bistro is the newest addition to our club.
Personally, I would walk to Livingston from NC for a repeat of the Wagyu bavette and duck fat pommes frites from that evening.
Should the chef add a crab Louie salad and creamed spinach to the menu, I might have to move there for awhile.
We totally recommend this place. The staff was super professional and personable and super friendly. The food was exquisite. We had the lion’s mane mushroom starter and the flavors were just perfect. Then we had the wagyu beef and the meat was very tender and perfectly cooked. Dessert was a chocolate mousse and it was also top!! I had cote du rhone wine and my husband a cocktail.. And again, the staff made it all a top experience..

I had dinner at the bistro recently and was able to get a bar seat. Restaurant was fully booked. Apparently it has reopened after a transfer of ownership over the last several months. It is a chef/owner establishment. The cocktails were original and super tasty. I had the steak frites and also fantastic. If in Livingston, MT. Put it on your list.
