My wife & I had our Anniversary dinner here while staying in Missoula, needless to say it was a FANTASTIC choice! The place is beautiful and rustic, the wood fired grill for the steaks and burgers is the bomb, and our server Kendall gave us the best service that we’ve ever experienced in a restaurant establishment! Highly recommend this hidden gem!

Foods good. Overall a good place to bring the family. Friendly staff. Viewable grill. Horseradish is the best around.

We weren’t looking for a steak house other than the usual Texas Roadhouse. Everything looked promising ordered ribeye steak and it was tough. I was expecting something better for 50 dollar steak. The four steaks we ordered were the same, not tender at all. Placed looked great just expected better results. Texas Roadhouse would have been a better option and half the price.

Normally the food is really good! Tonight not so good! 2 of the 3 steaks we ordered were really bad! Tough and chewy! The bread usually is buttered, garlic, and good. Not tonight it was burnt, no butter, and hard! We were very disappointed! One meal was Salmon and our guest really liked it

First time here to celebrate a life event and the atmosphere was wonderful! The steakhouse has a Western decor theme on the inside and an overall homey feeling. It makes you feel like you are sitting in someone's kitchen. Food and service was fantastic. My filet was cooked to perfection and paired well with my Old Fashion. Will definitely be back.

Before even walking in the door I should have known. Rules seem to be of more importance to post than actually following. They broke one of their rules at least three times from what I observed. To flip over the menu and see the history of the place with no mention of the original owner and how it was built was sad to see. To see the additional building not built in the way the original existing restaurant was a disrespect to the original owers. Log siding?? Really? At least close the gaps so you can't see the building wrap. Prices on menu vs prices online are different and there is no exuse as to why a place that charges these prices can't keep there website up to date. Where to start with our meal. We received our relish tray way beyond appropriate timing as others that were seated after us had already gotten. Salad was wilty and did not taste fresh. Our table ordered three steaks, all were ordered medium and all three were cooked more on the well done side. I personally ordered the 20oz ribeye and received the 12oz but was still charged for the 20oz. I was told the chef on the grill was new. That must explain why our steaks were not cooked as requested. Steaks themselves were not what I remember from the past. Crab legs were rubbery with zero taste. No warm wet towel for clean up with the crab legs. The dessert we ordered was the mud pie to split and came so frozen it was nearly impossible to get through even with a steak knife. I believe our nearly $200 meal was not worth our time and money. There is no way I could recommend this place to anyone. Honestly would have never came if we knew it had gone downhill so much. If I could have given a lesser rating I would have.

Come eat here! You will love it as much as we do! The atmosphere is very friendly, as you would expect from Montana. The beef is very high quality, cooked perfectly over an open fire! I love their old fashioned cocktails with Knob Creek.
We try to come every time we are in town. There are other steak houses (we have tried them all), but they dont compare!

Such a neat place. Two opportunities to wait (up the hill at the distillery or in their ‘patio’ area where you can get drinks and apps. Once inside the staff was friendly and the food was delicious. Steak was cooked to perfection!

This is a nice little place to stop, but I don’t know that we will make the drive from Missoula again. The service and atmosphere is great and being able to see the steaks being cooked right by the tables is really fun. I was less impressed with the quality of the steaks for the price. The ribeye was fairly tough and had no cap to speak of.

The atmosphere was great, the service was great, and the food....to DIE FOR. I have NEVER had a steak that good. A little spendy/expensive? Yes. But SOOOO worth it. Just try to get there early. Like, before they open. They don't take reservations, and usual wait time are an hour. But again, TOTALY WORTH WAITING FOR. Would LOVE to go again.
Great food. Great service
