“Went here a couple years ago and it was like stepping back in time! Who would have thought that there was a saloon in the middle of a forest, but there was! It was so neat to walk in and smell the wood fireplace fill the air and see a table of regulars playing poker at a table. The dim lighting set the stage even more along with the crackling fire and the cold weather and snow outside! We had found our winter haven! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We were staying at Lolo Hot Springs and all the food options were closed up and we didn't want to drive all the way to Missoula, so we thought we would follow the signs for Jacks Saloon. We are glad we did! What a great experience. We got ourselves a couple burgers, steak fries and a couple beers. This hit the spot on a cold, winters night. My husband and I often talk about this place and wanting to go back when we are back in the area! Thanks for a great experience!!”

“Great little hometown drive through and walk up coffee stand, I've seen them all over western Montana. The coffee is delicious and of good quality and the prices are fair and honest. That ladies on staff were friendly and fast. Yummy, thanks.”

“Our 1st visit here and what a surprise. We were early trying the hot springs. Friendly gent came out and said go have some breakfast next door and come back. He recommended the Biscuits and Gravy. Every bite in my head was...Dang that's good! Wife wasn't hungry, just ordered a coffee and then she tried a bite, then we started separating who gets what, gave me the look she was ready to fight me for more...Lol! Great Staff, made you feel like lost family. We booked a room at the lodge later this month.”

“This place open seldom as hours say. Workers unwilling to take phone orders..all around why doesn't this station in LOLO get a franchise that will be an attractant. We stopped stopping.***Today gave me a thought there are employees who are true assets... Mr. Dennis is a keeper... called....ordered...was greeted like he loves his job...and sandwich was ready and delicious...he made an effort to ensure everything was perfect... so changing my review as for today's visit... thank you Mr. Dennis”

“If you’re in Missoula this is one of those need-to-go places. It’s a classic, with some of the best ice cream in Missoula, possibly even the best. If you do visit expect a line but it’s worth the wait. Big Dipper is a wonderful treat and place during hot summer evenings or really any time.”

“If you’re looking for a small grocery with a great deli and fantastic staff, this is the place.On my last visit I was looking for some fun, dark beer for my guy. The staff could not have been more helpful and I found three great choices. They did not have one type I was looking for and offered to see if they could get it for me.There are lots of interesting shelved food items to choose from ( stuff you don’t see at chain grocery stores). And the deli makes some very good sandwiches.”

“We shared a small pulled pork sandwich and a half rack of ribs so we could try both. Delicious! The sauces were all great, too!For sides, we chose mac and cheese, deviled-egg-potato-salad, and fire-and-ice pickles. All delicious! (The pickles are sweet and pretty spicy) Sweet tea was great as well. We both left with full stomachs and some leftovers to take home. We def will return”
