“WE've eaten here a number of times and the food is always good. I miss the various kinds of rillettes on the menu, but the steelhead with braised greens and polenta was delicious and the desserts were superb. The duck confit with cassoulet was anlso very good. Our only concern was the raucous French music when we wanted Edith Piaf or some other modern romantic French music.”

“These sandwiches have such good flavor and are made with quality ingredients. The bread within itself was delicious. So many good options, it was tough to choose! For how busy it was we got the sandwiches pretty quickly.”

“Delicious as usual. This is a gem of a neighborhood restaurant tucked away in the Rattlesnake. The food is always good and the owner always has a smile. Service is great too. I had the salmon with lemon risotto -- yum.”

“#1 Gyros is absolutely the best in Missoula. I will not go to Missoula without stopping here. The gyros are fantastic and the Greek fries are amazing. The service is top and the prices are fair.”

“Another wonderful local find. You really shouldn't find yourself saying "There's nothing to do here" in Missoula...I m pretty sure these are the same folks that were by the X's before. I don't know how they did it but it has the exact same "FEEL" an the old place.Clearly the employees are well taken care of, not stressed at all and more than willing to help and share their love of the ice cream.Yes there's Big Dipper, they have their niche, this place is different in a great way!Enjoy Yum”

“As far as alcohol goes, cider is my favourite and western cider has the best I’ve ever tasted! Can’t recommend it enough, especially if you’re like me and love apple flavoured everything!”

“Ordered the vegan pesto veggie pizza that includes vegan cheese. AMAZING. Best I've had anywhere. Seriously impressive. Friendly staff and they where slammed with customers, still had my pizza in my hands within 30min. Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: Veggie pizza, vegan pesto veggie with vegan cheese available.”

“Black Coffee Roasting Co has the cutest, most inviting, and chill atmosphere. It is very clean, has plants, and the fresh air was just lovely! We just got breakfast and coffee to go as we were heading home to WA state, but I'm glad I found this gem. The lattes were good, but average, in my opinion. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and every item looked so good! My husband got a blueberry peach Danish. I didn't get a picture. It was very tasty, and the flavor combo was on point. My cardamom flavored item ( I forgot exactly what it is called) was crispy on the outside and light and flaky on the inside. It was good, too. I definitely recommend checking it out. I wish I lived closer as I really loved this coffee shop. The vibe was so chill.”

“This place has such a cool speakeasy vibe! Really good, quality alcohol and delicious ingredients. My husband had the new fashioned, and I had the cowboy lullaby. Highly recommend the cowboy lullaby is you like chamomile, and a light taste of citrus and honey!!!”

“This atmosphere of this shop is so wonderfully cozy and pleasant. The menu has such a nice selection of to-go options and the loose teas to purchase for home brewing are phenomenal and in vast selection. The service was quick and friendly. I came here with my family and we bought many of the different teas to try, as well as some to-go teas. My sister and I really enjoyed their house Chai. It was the perfect amount of spice and tea, like a spicy hug for your soul. I will be recommending this shop to others in the future.”

“We had a delicious lunch. We ordered the pasty and the cranberry crossiant with sweet potato fries. Both were very good, and portions were huge. Our server Michelle was excellent. It was our first visit, but we will definitely be back.”

“Cookies, Ice Cream and friendly service.I was disappointed that I didn't get Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans with my espresso ice cream, but that's just the policy here. You get what they have and nothing more. However, what you do get is delicious. Just a little disappointed in wanting something I couldn't have, even though it was right in front of me.”

“Great helpful staff who will go out of their way to turn an off-hand question about what varietals are in such and such bottle of wine into a deep dive into the use of corvina in valpolicella. Their starters are wonderful, and great to share, and their desserts range from subtle and rich to wicked and decadent. My favorite had to be the basque cheesecake - perfection! The only issue I had was the sea bass, on a bed of white beans. It was a bit bland and could have used a more floral olive oil or flaked sea salt. My table-mates' pasta looked incredible, though!”
“Sat at the bar, Emmett is thee guy! Amazing bartender, very attentive, fun and great conversation. The cocktails were incredible too. 10/10 wish we hadn't eaten elsewhere before we came.”

“Saketome has delicious sushi and excellent service. The atmosphere is quite fun. Be sure to get there early or be prepared to wait for a table. Our server forgot one of our rolls. She did her best to make up for the mistake. Quite a few of the rolls are spicy so if that's not your thing be prepared to ask for modifications.”

“The Keep is a very nice and well put together place. The service was wonderful and food was good - the scallop special was amazing. However, the value for the price isn’t there. I had a Ribeye for $52. It was a 1/2” thick and came with three little carrots and mashers. It tasted great but for $52, it should have been 1 1/2” thick with some actual veggies on the side.”

“My husband and I love this place. The food is great! Fresh and delicious. We sympathize that everyone is having staffing issues right now but don’t let that keep us from eating there weekly. We have dined outside all summer up until last Friday night. We plan to eat there after the November reboot.Vegetarian options: My favorite is the Vegetable Saute. But all are good.Parking: We never have to walk very far. We usually find a spot within a half dozen spots from the door.Kid-friendliness: We took our three year old granddaughter there and ate outside. She enjoyed it and so did we. No muss, no fuss. Great place for families.”

“We were greeted as soon as we walked in. It happened to be Prime Rib night (which we didn't know). What a treat! The service was spectacular. We were treated as if we were regulars who had been coming in for years. And the Prime Rib was OMG good!!! If you're looking for a true, local steakhouse...this is it.”

“One of the best in Missoula. Easy going and great food. Price is not $50-$100 unless you buy loads of wine! We often each eat for $30-$40 per person. Great people and fun menu. Something for everyone.”

“We had a lovely lunch at Finn on a Saturday afternoon. We went later, so it wasn't very crowded. The service was terrific. The food was great. The location can't be beat.”
“Great vibes at this place! Live music every now and again, unique beers you can only find here and their home distillery, and knowledgeable staff who treated me very well. Chicken and waffles are perfectly salty and sweet wow!”

“Don't let being attached to a hotel fool you, this is a great Mexican restaurant. Tasty food along with the nice atmosphere and vibe made the experience even better.”
Options
“It's certainly an interesting experience walking into a deserted hard rock & metal venue in partial darkness and seeing some bright lights off to the left. Lo and behold there is a small Mexican taquería in the corner with a few people at the tables eating and one person at the counter.Having grown up in San Diego, I can safely say this is THE most legit Mexican food I've had in Missoula. $10 is a solid price for the burrito supreme which could be split for lunch.TIP : You can order online, but will be charged a $3 service fee. Just give the homies a call!(Also, the color salsa you choose will end up inside the burrito before you get it—choose wisely!)”

“The staff was friendly and professional. Our waitress, Megan was fantastic! She was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and wine selection. Food was excellent. We will be back! Thank you”

“Mary complimented our meal by offering an excellent pairing of wine. Service and atmosphere was terrific. Best meal in Missoula we’ve had in a long time. Thanks!!”

“Best Pho in the state of Montana! I wish I could remember our server’s name but he is always on the ball! Definitely recommend if you are looking for Vietnamese food!”

“Originally went to Cracker Barrel but didn't realize the time change on our way to Missoula. Glad we didn't because we ended up here. Server was super nice and food was really good (much better than Cracker Barrel would've been). We got the artichoke & spinach dip (she said it was one of the best she's had, I'm not a fan in general), fish & chips (which were really good and what the server recommended), and a calzone (which she also really enjoyed). When we got the bill, my gf told me the total. I thought the server had forgotten to add something because it was so cheap! (we live in WA). I would recommend this place for anyone passing through or anyone who lives there. Would definitely return when we are in town!”

Takeout Restaurants
“The tomato soup here tastes just like 4Bs, creamy and delicious. However, the other food seemed sort of average to me and didn't live up to the hype. Maybe I'm just not a big burger person, and that's what they are known for. The fish wrap was just fine but very basic. Service was a little slow, but they were busy and understandably understaffed like everywhere else right now. They were definitely doing their best. The remodel was a huge upgrade from the previous ambiance.”
Options
“Great brewery beer super tasty. Beer tender knew her stuff and made very good suggestions. Definitely be back when in the area. Grabbed two growlers just to hold over until we can make it back.”
Options
“I love the interior, it's a beautiful spot. Crowded inside but they also have lots of outdoor seating which is not common for coffee shops around here. Welcoming atmosphere. Delicious coffee!”

“Kaden, the cashier, and the manager, Josh, were excellent hosts. We were visiting for the Veteran's day weekend and my wife and I usually head out for the special deals because we are both Vets. Although there were no advertised specials Josh went out of his way to welcome us and thank us for our service and the food and service were top notch. Thanks guys!”

“Killer biscuits and gravy.. it’s almost a little too hippie of a spot for me and there isn’t a ton of room, but very friendly service. Their menu indicated they would be closing down in the near future. If it’s still open, it’s worth stopping for breakfast. Line was a little long but it moved fast.”

“Came here because I saw it on so many "must eat lists" for Montana. The food was good. But my experience around getting the food was not great. I first tried to go to the location on Reserve to find it closed at 7:00 pm. Since I was only here for 1 more day, I didn't want to pass up the chance to eat here. When I finally got to this store around 7:50 pm, they were out of all rice and it was going to be a 20 minute wait for more. Closing time is 9:00 PM. Several other people left because of this, but like I said, I was already here so I had a bowl made with greens. There were flies buzzing around the register and self serve fountain. They were out of rice. Bottom line here is that the food was good, even though what I got was pretty much the only option. Everything was flavorful. Not sure I will be back if I'm in town again. It was a lot of effort for a mediocre experience but tasty food. They did the best they could that evening.”

“IPA dominated the menu today. All were great. Choose your body and ABV. The pastry imperial was also great after warming up a bit.4 stars because I wasn't aware of any fun food. Fun being the operative word.”

“Nice place for a group to gather! Vegetarian puff pastry was pretty good. Soda bread was not edible - way too salty. Surprisingly good coffee. Excellent service.”

“GILD is an absolute culinary gem! The food here is a masterpiece of flavors and presentation. Every dish is a work of art that delights the taste buds. The ambiance is chic and inviting, making it the perfect spot for any occasion. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, adding to the overall wonderful dining experience. “This was a nice place to stop for lunch. Soup was really good. My sandwirch was good. The service was great. The place was super clean. I'd totally eat here again.”

“First time trying this place out and they didn't disappoint. The bacon breakfast burrito and chicken fried steak were phenomenal. Our server was so nice and attentive. Great beer and coffee as well. We will definitely be back.”

“We like our kick your boots up and relax with friends bar. Now they have added a few bar top tables, more dart area and some new life to some of the decor. I'm glad they didn't take the carpet off the ceiling though. It's old and funky but it's got character and we fondly have called this bar the Carpet Bar for years. The bar food is pretty good too. Beer is cold music is loud and it's always N all around good time. ?”

“China Gardens is a staple of Missoula! I have been coming to this restaurant since I was a kid. The foid is consistent, meaning that for 30 plus years the recipes haven't been changed. The food here is always good, I have never gotten anything that I didn't like. The atmosphere is laid back and the servers are always attentive.”
Options
“Good food, friendly and courteous staff. Small burger and fry portions, but absolutely delicious fries! We had the blood orange blonde ale and it was very good. Cleanliness at its best!Dietary restrictions: Best gluten-free hamburger buns!”

Drive-Thru Restaurants
“Adjacent to a HD dealership, this little cafe offers coffee and a variety of foods. We grabbed a couple of coffees and breakfast burritos for the road. The food and coffee were both excellent and the girl working there was very pleasant. The only reason this isn't five stars is the speed of service. We went to the drive-thru to order and were there for 15-20 minutes as there was only one person servicing both the drive-thru and walk up windows.”

“Drum Coffee Roasting is a terrific cafe serving expertly crafted coffees extracted from unique, thoughtfully sourced, and expertly roasted beans. Their service and hospitality is so friendly, positive and contageous and their small selection of rotating sweet and savory baked goods and breakfast items are absolutely delicious. And all of this in a quaint cafe setting with eclectic and clever decor and a soundtrack that reflects the passion of their co-founder. I highly recommend visiting Drum when you're in Missoula.”
Options
“I'm so glad this location is not far from our house! The coffee is great and the service is always outstanding. Kinlee, the manager of this location, is super sweet. She always remembers my name, drink and my dog's name. There's a reason she won Missoula's Best Barista.I will admit that I'm not a huge fan of the pastries. I think they get them from Black Cat, but they are somewhat pricey and don't always have the best flavor. However, I come here for the lattes, not the pastry.”
Options
“Floco ftw ? My hubby and I always order mango huckleberry smoothies on a hot day, or shake it up with their yummy lattes on a cold one. Any of their special hot lattes with white chocolate are amazing, and they always give a cookie to my dog!”
Options
“This is a really cool location. Looks like an old WienerSchniztel A frame building. Walk up only. No drive thru or inside seating area. Very popular in summer..... very popular any nice day I would imagine.”
Options
“Pretty good coffee, atmosphere is a little stale though. If you're looking for a coffee shop experience most like that big chain from Seattle, you've found your spot. Centrally located, big tables for getting some work done on the free wifi, but lacks personality. Don't misunderstand, though! They pull a pretty good shot and have some nice breakfast options for business travelers like me looking for a great no-fuss start to their day, Liquid Planet's got what you need! If you want the Missoula experience, you may want to explore a bit more.”

“A quick place to get a coffee, tea, or drink. We got a lemon muffin too. They have 3 sides to drive up to. The drinks were perfect. The ladies were nice and fast. Great quick afternoon pick me up.”

“I'm a pepperoni thin crust pizza person. Hunter and I decided to try the Five Meat double crust pizza for the first time tonight. It was put together perfectly, with just the right amount of ingredients. I was sceptical, we got it in the oven baked it 35 minutes at 350 let it rest for 5 minutes. It smelled delicious and tasted amazing! Sooooo good! Try a Five Meat double crust pizza soon!”
Options
“I only leave reviews when I really get wowed, and this place and the baristas in it make the best dark chocolate breve I've EVER HAD. They were fast and nice, and seriously made the best drink I've had out of any coffee shop I've been to. I highly recommend this place!”

“The thing I love most about Florence Coffee is how consistent my coffee is throughout the staff and all the -->drive-thru<--- locations due to great training.”

“So I was craving a pizza and this place was recommended by the hotel staff where I am currently staying at. Now the parking is a tricky cause where the light is there is no left turn but there is parking next to the building. When I walked it was greet by Clare who was absolutely perform outstanding customer service. I explained that is was my first and so able to give me a rundown on everything the place had to offer. In the end I didn't get the pizza but I ended up with an amazing chicken bacon sandwich. I loved that they didn't the thin bacon but thick kind instead. The sandwich itself was not serviced with the typical just plain white bread but with this usual thick type that seemed homemade. My niece had this pasta that contained squash, mushrooms and etc. I was delighted that they offered more than just pizza. But next I will try it when I go back again. One other think instead of fountain drinks the offered a larged variety of drinks and I was even able to get my favorite lemonade made in Texas”
Options
“The food was OK. I had a burger and my husband got the vegan hash browns I think. It was very quick. The cashier who took our order was very pleasant, as well as the kitchen manager who came and checked on us. The barista messed up my order, and I very politely went and asked for a new coffee. She was extremely rude and made me feel like it was my fault. We were in on Friday at noon. Definitely will find somewhere different to stop next time I am in Missoula.”

“Liquid Planet here in downtown Missoula has some very cheap coffee on one of The Lord's Days, which is Sunday, it is only $1.00, and you can get free refills, the employees here are amazing workers! You could tell they are working hard, it's super busy here, but they have kept trucking on, their faces are red as their tired haha! I love hard workers! The employees names are Melina Scott, and Tracy Dhalos, the only thing that needs fixing is they should have at least 3 employees before it gets to busy! Since it is The Summer after all!”

“This team today was so pro! They accommodated my special request, we’re kind and created one hell of a burrito! It’s nice to see a team that works well together and is engaging and funThe food was fresh and flavourful with vegetarian optionsThanks TT for a great experienceChad n Kat”

“So we randomly saw this place driving by.. never heard of it before, but they looked busy so we figured they were good, and they were. We'll probably stop here everytime we are in Missoula now. For my family of 4 it wasn't too pricey.. we all got meals and shakes. The customer service was great all around and I loved seeing a lady checking the temperature of my chicken! I can't even tell you how many times I've gotten sick eating out.. but not this time. Everything tasted fresh and hot. Thank you!”

“EMILY IS SO NICE!! I was shocked at how well established this place was in its culture and wonderful array of options and artwork. It was so fun getting to have a hands on experience and great suggestions for a nice bottle to take with us. Most bottles of red were $30+, my mother and I had selected a nice bottle suggested by Emily to which we enjoyed by the hot tub at the nearby hotel. The door also had a unique wood full length handle - nice touch.”

“I moved away from Missoula 9yrs ago and came to visit. This place was an old bakery. Cranky Sam is a much better use of this space. I had a group of 20 folks and we all had fun on the back patio with a Jazz band playing. The service and selection were great! They had a food truck bellied up to the back and Biga Pizza was right next door.”
“People were awesome and gave some great recommendations. Cool shop with unique stuff. Kombucha on tap is a must try, probably some of the best kombucha I’ve had. Mix the flavors”
Options
“Consistently the best chicken in Missoula. I get a small the classic with OPP and regular sauce. Always hits the spot, always cooked perfectly. Not your typical teriyaki sauce but it’s so good. Can’t recommend enough.”
Options
“The service was excellent! Everyone was kind and considerate. It was clean and everything was well-stocked. The food was delicious ... perfectly made little bacon cheeseburger and the smallest order of fries they had you would've thought I ordered a large there were so many! I'll come back anytime I'm in town!”
Options
“These people are so amazing! Not only is the food fantastic, but the service is spot on. The fact the gentleman at the counter knows my kiddos order makes my kiddo feel so special. You don’t get that many places in Missoula, especially since it’s turned into a pretentious mini LA full of garbage. They’ve got small town vibes and we love that!!!!”
Options
“We absolutely LOVE Loose Caboose! We frequent every Friday for the most delicious iced black & white mochas! The coffee is amazing, but truly our wonderful barista is the reason we keep coming back. Morgan is the BEST, taking the time to remember our fave drinks, our dog's name and always coming through with a treat for Carlos ?♥️”

“Great spot for a beer, very much a neighborhood-type place. Also, they carry Kambucha, for those so inclined. You see a lot of the same faces, they know regulars by name. A lovely piece of local flavor commemorating The Great Burn, a terrible fire, with some very personal ties for the ownership.”
Options
“Such a cool bar! If you’re in Missoula and you have a taste for higher end liquor, definitely check out the rhino! The owner is great! And he takes his time with the customers so you leave feeling like family. Definitely check it out !”
“Went for the first time today after heavy recommendations. They have the best fries I've ever eaten hands down. The first bite tastes like the batter of a funnel cake with a very crisp and firm coating, but seasoned perfectly with salt and oregano which counteracts any sweetness from the batter. Its a very very unique flavor and down right amazing. Their Gyros are very good but I was absolutely blown away by the fries. Great to dip in tziki sauce too. Skip the ranch. The overall atmosphere and customer service was a great experience. I don't find myself out at the mall that often but I will DEFINITELY be door dashing Gyros and Fries more often.”

“This place is so cute and they have the yummiest treats! You can tell the staff works really hard to provide quality! The huckleberry cupcake was so tasty and the coffees were delish.”

“Great food. Great people. The flatbread was authentic and generous. The proprietors were kind and helpful as we made our choices. The spices and herbs were excellent. Very authentic and delicious.”
Options
“I love the food here, especiallythe gumbo. The employees are always so nice and helpful. The drinks are usually good and the atmosphere is very comfortable. I don't like how sometimes it can get super busy tho. I guess that just means it's a great place.”
“Great little coffee shop tucked away in the back of a little shopping center that is unexpectedly big on the inside. Plenty of room for lots of folks to gather and get coffee or sandwiches or smoothie bowls. As an added bonus it has a drive-up window too, so in those cold winter mo the you don't even need to get out of the car.”
Options
“The best coffee in town! By far. Rich and full and zero acid. Incredible value/affordability. Everything is organic and delicious! Try the oat milk! The creamiest you can imagine.”

“Not only does Tamarack have great food and excellent beer but they have a friendly and welcoming staff of exceptional people. Kara, Josh, and Alex were all very kind to this traveler and I was made to feel at home. If I lived here, this would be my regular, go to, spot. The bison burger and amber beer are outstanding! The friendly, engaging, staff here was a real contrast to the colder atmosphere at another nearby craft brewery. I'd give Tamarack 10 stars if I could. Thanks for making me feel at home!”

“Ok so I'm not going to make this a comparison review but I will say Ruby's has the best breakfast I've tried in the area.I had the "cowboy up" skillet and it was pretty much one of those things I could eat every day if my arteries allowed it. Just kidding about the last part. I'd totally eat it daily.Had a pancake on the side and honestly it was all I could do to finish the skillet and pick at the cake. So stuffed. So good. Will definitely be back!Parking: This place is pretty popular so parking was packed. At least around the restaurant. You can probably easily park a wee bit further out and still not be too far away.”

“We love getting food here, it's always wonderful. Trying to get ahold of someone to order over the phone can be a challenge sometimes, one time they got our order wrong but quickly fixed it. It's a great place. We got the cheesecake, and it was amazing.”
