“YOU MUST EAT HERE!Now that I have your attention, I can't recommend enough. There are so many menu choices that look delicious. We had the Irish Fondue with the Dubliner cheese. DELICIOUS! We each decided on a different type of pasty. These are definitely IRISH pasties and NOT Montana pasties. Light, fluffy, the fillings OMG and the Guiness gravy words can not describe. Based on the pure delight of these dishes, we tried the sticky toffee pudding. HEAVEN and very close to authentic. Most of the food was very close to authentic. Far more so then the other place downtown. Also, I have a severe food allergy, and they were so attentive to that!!Totally, family friendly.“
“This brewery is tied for my second favorite in Missoula. We came here after running the half marathon and we got a free drink when we showed our medal! We didn't know they were doing this and the bartender told us it was all taken care of after we ordered. So nice! The beer was good - I liked all the samplers I got in my flight - and they had a large variety to choose from. It's a large space - it was pretty crowded but we were able to snag 3 spots at the bar. They were starting to set up for a band, so they have live music as well.“
“What a fun tapas bar in Missoula. The atmosphere was fun and hip. The bar tenders were friendly and the drinks we ordered were creative and delicious. We ordered two tapas and they were excellent, especially the bacon wrapped dates. The croquttes could have used a bit less sauce.“
“Pay attention or you might miss it! It says CB’s Dino Bar on the outside. But step inside and enjoy the atmosphere! The walls are covered with lots of interesting items. You can tell this bar has a lot of history. Order drinks at the bar and then food in the back. We were there on a Friday morning and the person behind the bar that day made the BEST Bloody Mary I’ve ever had.“
“This bar has the best bartenders in town. They are fun kind and know ehat they are doing. Sabrina Shawn Albert and Ethan deserve a raise for their exceptional service and drink mixing skills I'm so glad that we have such a great place I recommend checking it out if you haven't been here “
“Reds is the home to the Missoula Browns Backers association, a group of fans who are all ex Clevelanders who meet at Reds to watch the Browns lose. (most of the time) But the staff at Reds makes every week an absolute delight for us no matter how bad our team is. Zack comes out of retirement each football season to tend bar Sunday mornings and remembers our regular orders from last season! Thanks for being our home away from Cleveland!“
“Best burger in Missoula, hands down…and I’ve tried them all. Great atmosphere, historical bar, cheap drinks, and wonderful bartenders…special shoutout to Spencer, Maddy, and McKenna for being very welcoming, professional, and overall good people. Can’t recommend this place enough.“
“EMILY IS SO NICE!! I was shocked at how well established this place was in its culture and wonderful array of options and artwork. It was so fun getting to have a hands on experience and great suggestions for a nice bottle to take with us. Most bottles of red were $30+, my mother and I had selected a nice bottle suggested by Emily to which we enjoyed by the hot tub at the nearby hotel. The door also had a unique wood full length handle - nice touch.“
“All of the bartenders are so lovely and sweet, especially Kal !!! No matter what I can count on the staff here to make me feel welcome and safe. I've been coming to this bar for years, and I'll be coming back forever! Most caring, badass bartenders in this town <3p.s. kal plays the best music :o“
“RENO BABY!!I love this place!!...they score all categories number one for good reason. The atmosphere, great dining, afforable prices, and home made style falvorites and specials that delight the taste buds...The locals local patronage will tell u they been doing it right for years ..family ir casino play...Sassing from the busy bartender is a compliment... and adorable characters abound....RENO!“
“What an incredible experience we had! The food was pretty amazing, and our server was super sweet. They were slammed packed as it was St. Patties weekend, but even with running around with their heads cut off the staff were all great and so kind. Then, before we left we got a bonus! A group of pipe bag players and drummers came through the entire bar and earing areas and then played a few songs in the middle of the bar!Definitely go eat some great food!!!“
“Great breakfast spot! They don’t have a large selection on their menu but I highly recommend the chicken fried steak for breakfast! The cambie fries are a must for lunch! They also have plenty of beers to choose from. We like sitting upstairs in the summer.Parking: Parking can be complicated as their parking lot isn’t very big. We usually park across the street next to Dornblaser field and walk across.“
“Ah yes, the true American dive bar. A perfect slice of everything our country has to offer. Served on a dinner plate hot fried and the void of anything pretentious. Some would say these very places are the staple of our nation. Not only by feeding workers in the area, or old timers on a retired budget but perhaps feeding our very soul with a experience that seems to be fading from the country side, with the hustle and bustle of the rapidly growing bar and restaurant scenes in downtowns across America. For those in need of a place where time seems to standstill, a place where the smell of bacon and beer fills the air, a place where the bartender asks how you’re doing and means it. PBR sign glowing above fuzzy green billiard table felt. Take a deep breath, let your fingers run along the edge where wainscoting meets textured drywall. Let your eyes wonder along the dollar bills adorned with maker doodles of those that came here before you. The heart of every dive is found beating in the community of regulars and tenders that have supported one another in ways you just don’t find elsewhere. That heartbeat is alive and well at the Forest Longe. Although to people not familiar with the subtle ways these establishments provide something missing in our lives one could impose doubt upon their initial decision to sit and dine. Perhaps thinking these bars are a locals only experience and outsiders won’t find comfort with in. This is often not the case in Montana and you are certainly welcome at the Forest Lounge. Rest assured you can kick back, enjoy beer on tap but make sure you don’t forget it’s cash only. A simple rule that is an instant throw back to a simpler moment before credit cards and apps replaced paper transactions. Hashbrowns griddled to perfection accompanied by fluffy steaming scrambled eggs and English muffins toasted golden brown dripping in butter. One could imagine they died and gone to heaven, but not before taking the time to appreciate the bacon. Crisp and still bubbling, fried in its own fat until slightly black on the edges….. truckers, construction workers, and ranchers will testify with one hand on the holy bible, “The American dive bar is just as sacred as the house of God”If you haven’t got caught up on your classic rock gems created by spiritual leaders like AC/DC or Led Zeppelin… just have a seat and take a listen. You’re welcome to get up and bust a move, singing to your favorite jam you haven’t heard in ages, or chill and watch Fox News flash the world’s affairs on the screen…. Either way you’re welcome in this place. Welcome to be yourself, unapologetic and as you are. I’m not saying you’ll go unnoticed but I’m sure it be a great time. Oh before you leave be sure to listen to an old timer…. They always got something to say, not that whatever they’ll tell ya is incredibly profound but it’s nice to let ‘em tell you stories… it’s good karma too, because that may be you one day, on a dive bar stool telling a long story that doesn’t seem to really go anywhere, and you’ll want someone to tell it to, one day… if you live to be as old as the Forest Lounge.BK LOVE is an avant-garde google guide, NY born and globally traveled, his taste is relatable yet bold. “I greatly enjoyed my experience at the Stave & Hoop Speakeasy. I had a wonderful time and had some wonderful drinks and delicious food. Overall, this is a great place to catch up with friends or to have a more relaxing drinking experience. Would recommend!“
“Marvin’s has a lot of character! Be sure to take a walk around the place to see the items they have on display. You’ll be sure to find something interesting and sometimes funny. Very simple food menu and really recommend a burger at this place. I’ll be back!“
“Flippers is the go to place. It’s open and spacious, pool table tucked away…the food is outstanding…dont take my word for it….try the mac n cheese bites….ahmazing!!!! And let’s not leave out the employees! Timmy is the best!!! And can he sing! This little diamond has karaoke 3x’s a week and a small casino if you are into that. Food, service and drinks are top notch!“
“This is an awesome place to stop for unique gifts or pick up sometime fun for a really good price. Usually with touristy places like this they charge out the nose, but the prices here are surprisingly affordable. We love stopping in whenever we pass through the area“
“Absolutely the best bar around! The most friendly bartender and owner. I'm so glad we stopped here. They really care about there customers and they make sure to take very good care of you. We had the brisket that they serve on Sundays and it was out of this world... delicious. They have two pool tables, darts, games, casino, outdoor horseshoes, and and outdoor fireplace and seating. Such an amazing bar and diner, I highly recommend to fill all your needs of having fun, stuffing your stomach, and having a refreshing drink.“
“Great vibe here, amazing selection and friendly, knowledgeable service. They had 45 taps and a huge bottle selection.I had a Founders Porter, Founders is a good brewery but they had a variety of quality breweries on tap including lots of good locals.I told the staff what I like to drink and they had good suggestions and brought me tasters to make sure it would be something I'd enjoy.Comfortable bar, clean, not too crowded on a Friday, pretty much couldn't ask for more.“
“Super fun. Dancing andLate night tacos Friday Saturday.Authentic Oaxacan cuisine. The flavors of way down southern Mexico, the memories of the Yucatan peninsula will make your mouth water.Till 1:30 am.See them Tuesday for taco Tuesdays. $2 tacos from 11 am to 9pm!“
“Missoula is one of the best beer towns in the United States. Kettlehouse is my favorite brewery, backed by stacks of awards and acolytes. My favorite place to drink their beer is at the Myrtle Street location, where it all began so many years ago as a brew your own beer spot. This friendly "dive" brewery offers dozens of beers on tap, freshly canned, bottled and of course, growler fills. Kettlehouse breweries are the only place to find many of their delicious beers, Cold Smoke being the most famous. I personally enjoy the Shady lineup. Double Shady is sold out, but Super Shady is still available! A food truck is usually serving guests and chex mix is always on hand.“
“This place has such a cool speakeasy vibe! Really good, quality alcohol and delicious ingredients. My husband had the new fashioned, and I had the cowboy lullaby. Highly recommend the cowboy lullaby is you like chamomile, and a light taste of citrus and honey!!!“
