Anything good that I could say is probably redundant. The restaurant is exceptionally clean, the staff is very friendly and the hash browns that came with my very good Denver’s omelette were superb. This place is well worth a detour.
Don’t miss this local cafe in Malta, MT, right on US-2. The sign says, “The Hitchin’ Post Cafe : Eat here or we’ll all starve!” A fitting introduction to this restaurant. WONDERFUL addition to our day of driving. The breakfast was great and we got the feeling that anything you order would be tasty - all of our choices certainly were. I understand why they offer all-day breakfast. They apparently have homemade pies etc later in the day as well. The waitress was friendly...
Traveling cross-country and needed a lunch stop. The Hitching Post was a great stop! It looks like it might have an old gas station at one time, but the inside was lovely with well kept booths, tables and a counter with subway tiles on the back wall. Most important, it was super clean and the food was like home-cooked and delicious. They serve breakfast and lunch until 2:00 pm. The waitress was friendly and service was quick. (Plus: Bathroom was also very clean.) Definitely...
