great food and great waitresses and bartenders.
We got there a little early so the lady at the bar chatted with us a little bit and was very friendly and pleasant. When we got our food it was all hot and fresh. I got a cheeseburger which was delicious and juicy. The onion rings were great, fresh made. They has a good choice of beers, too. The vibe was great, old time saloon and pool hall. We were welcomed immediately upon entering. Meals had a lot of food plus we ordered an appetizer. We have the Mexican wontons for an appetizer...pretty good but were quite crispy. Our meals we ordered were the ribeye steak (rare) with the buffalo chips and salad with ranch and the chicken fired steak with gems (tots) and salad with ranch. Both meals were just okay. We had a few drinks also and spent $87.

Stockman Bar & Steakhouse is a hometown bar known for its friendly owner and good steak. The service is fantastic, and the food is very good with fair prices. The atmosphere reflects small town Montana, complete with rodeo playing on the TVs. While the chicken sandwich could use more sauce, the buffalo fries are good and freshly made. The facility is nice, with cold beers and tasty meals. There are pool tables for entertainment, and the staff, including a fantastic female bartender, are kind and personable.
On busy nights, like during local events, the staff can become overwhelmed. However, the attentive servers provide great service even in those times. Customers have enjoyed appetizers like fried mushrooms with house-made ranch, which is thick and not runny. The hamburger with bleu cheese and bacon was good, although the fries were a tad soggy. The steak, while slightly overdone, was flavorful and well-seasoned. Whether for a steak dinner or just a casual visit, Stockman Bar & Steakhouse offers a welcoming environment and meals worth returning for.
