I went there for the very first time the night before our grandson was born and I think that I enjoyed interacting with their helpful staff most of all. The food was really well-made, the portions were generous and the prices were quite reasonable and they keep the restaurant clean and well cared for. I highly recommend this to anyone seeking a good plate of Chinese food in Missoula.Kid-friendliness: They were super accommodating and caring for the needs of our rambunctious two year old granddaughter.
This is a place where the whole family meets up for any occasion. We order the big bowls of entrees and soups, feeds us all. I have always loved the food and service. The chicken fried rice is hands down best in Missoula, personally.
Been coming here for over 30 years and I have never been treated so poor as I was today… my daughter and I was seated in the back far left corner table 25 and just ignored i witnessed staff bus 5 tables… two wait staff and not one person could bring us tea or even come speak to us after 10 mins of sitting there… we waited n waited n I said in 2 more mins we are leaving and nothing still just put in a back corner n ignored…, I am disappointed n disgusted with this service…. What put the ones of color in the back and ignore them….. wow come on china garden I thought you were better then that…. Well you just lost a long long time customer…with this kind of service we will go else where…DID NOT GET SERVICE SO THEREFORE WE DID NOT GET FOOD!!!! RUDE AND SAD BUT THE MUSTARD SEED WOULD LOVE TO HAVE US!!

Maybe if u dine in its ok.....used to love takeout from here, but don't give soup.. food inconsistent and they don't care seriously has gone down hill.... guess thats what happens when employees don't care!!! Maybe missoula should take a look at what covid has done to business and figure out how to fix it!!!! Not everyone is homeless!!! Some people pay for quality and obviously China garden is falling into failure of missoula... and don't call they will Teel you tggf!!!

Ordered beef & broccoli with house lo mein. The beef is super tough in both dishes, and the pork is really dry. They forgot the white rice, no utensils, and 1 fortune cookie for $50 of food.

Absolutely awful?. I couldn’t eat it. I like salt but this alone made the dish unpalatable. The Mongolian beef was NOT traditional. I have never seen this, YELLOW onion, red and green bell peppers add noodles or rice $2.00. Beef was tough and thick. Egg drop soup was very salty as well. I asked to see the waitress. She confirmed it was their MB. I asked if they would exchange. I had to pay if i wanted to change dishes. Total cost, $18.00. I brought it to a homeless person. I wasn’t leaving something i only took one bite of. So sad. I was so looking forward to a treat for myself.
