We love Caio Mambo… and we love getting to know their wonderful servers. David and I would like to throw a special shout out to Ariana. It’s just makes our dining experience so much nicer when you want to invite your server to sit down with you (though they’re busy proving great service). Ariana, David and I appreciate your wonderful service and warm personality. Thank you Caio Mambo for providing us with quality service and delicious food. It’s so important to take care of who takes care of you.
And Ariana… until next time 💗 Thank you for making our Valentine’s dinner so everything we hope for

The food I would love to tell them Italian food has more flavor than just garlic from the bread to the pasta. I asked the server if there was a way to fix our table as it was horribly wobbly, which she fixed by climbing under the table and basically having her head in my husband's lap after he had ask for the shim which was in her hand. So very uncomfortable. People who came in after us had their bread and salads before we had our bread and we arrived and ordered before them. Server spent a lot of time having a conversation with a costumer at another table. When she did ask how it was she walked away while I was putting my finger up so I could let her know that I had to spit out some of the grilled chicken that was over chard and could not be chewed and the shrimp was over cooked in the meal too. By this point we were over this place. so we packed up our stuff and paid and left. Oh did i mention this was our first time here and my husband's birthday, which our serve was so invested in anything and everything else that she didn't even notice the bright pin on him that said it was his birthday. Not saying to get anything special there but She could have said Happy birthday. Why the 2 stars those were for the busier and food runners. They were great. But Mary Ann not so much, or at least i think that was her name it was so loud i couldn't hear easily and her name written in crayon was not readable.

Great food! Got a pizza and a penne alla vodka which were both really good and the garlic bread was amazing. Our server Michael was super attentive and made the night great.

Had an amazing father daughter date night at Ciao Mambo! We split the Tootsie Rolls appetizer, the lasagna, and the huckleberry cheesecake and still came home with full bellies and leftovers! The lasagna portions are huge, and it was one of the best I’ve had in years. Perfectly layered with rich, flavorful sauce that tasted homemade and authentic. Every bite was incredible. The Tootsie Rolls were deliciously cheesy and well seasoned. If you love cheese, you have to try these. The huckleberry cheesecake was the perfect finish to our meal. The local huckleberry flavor really made it special and unique to Montana.
Our server Kaleb was fantastic. Very attentive and made the whole experience even better. He was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and checked on us at just the right times without being intrusive. My 10 year old loved drawing on the paper table covering with crayons while we enjoyed our meal. It kept her entertained and happy, which made the whole evening relaxing for both of us. The artwork on the walls is impressive and adds character to the space. The whole atmosphere was welcoming and fun, with just the right energy for a family dinner.
The downtown Missoula location is convenient and the restaurant has a great vibe. We waited about 20 to 30 minutes to be seated, which was totally reasonable for a busy dinner spot. They text you when your table is ready, so you can walk around if you want. Great food, excellent service, generous portions, and a wonderful family dining experience. Highly recommend Ciao Mambo!

Went there tonight. Told the man behind the counter, table for 2 please. He told me it would be an hour wait. Then he looked at me again and gave me the dirtiest look and said, actually, for you it's an hour and a half. I just told him forget it. Then he smiles at me. Rude and disrespectful. Never going back. For how busy this place is, it looks like it's run by a bunch of high school kids.

Eggplant parmesan is my favorite on the menu. Garlic bread provided with meal always savory

This is an Italian resturant.

11/22/25 Gabby was our waitress. After sitting for 20 min we had to wave her over to take our order. She had seated 3 other tables after seating us. They were all next to us. One table ate paid and left before we got our food. The other 2 paid as we were eating. She did not refill our water nor return to ask how the food was. One member of our party left the table to order a side of sauce. When she brought the ticket she took 15 min to return as we observed her inappropriately flirting with a male customer that during 15 min. Needless to say due to her poor service we left no tip. Her customer service skills are definitely lacking.

Great dinner at a very reasonable price. Who knew pizza in Montana could be that good!

We were greeted right away by a friendly hostess and quoted a 25–30 minute wait, which was accurate. Once seated, it took a little while before our server came by—around 10–15 minutes—so by that point we were ready to order everything at once. Service throughout the meal was on the slower side, and our server didn’t seem too familiar with the wine list. We also had to ask a few times for plates and glasses to be cleared.

I’ve always really enjoyed this restaurant, but this visit didn’t quite live up to my past experiences. On a positive note, the bread is still as delicious as ever—though it did arrive after our appetizers this time. Hoping this was just an off night, because I’d love to have it back near the top of my list!

Zesty Italian with casual vibe in the vibrant area near UM. Great service from Gabby, relatively quick kitchen given the number of patrons. Apps and entrees were yummy and good portions.
All around great experience, highly recommend. But get there early for first seating, or be prepared to wait for the next round as tables open up. Everyone’s having a good time so can get pretty noisy, but it’s fun happy noise!
Definitely worth waiting though!

The service has always been good. The food is usually very good. However, be prepared to catch 'em on a bad night -which I have a few times. Once they burned the garlic and pine nuts very badly. Once the meat was bad/old- smelly. It's too expensive to be served 😫 food! Also, they bring their fantastic garlic/parmesan bread with out asking, but then charge you for it.

Food was alright, quality didn't match price. If you want italian food in Missoula this is probably your best bet. The desserts were the best part of the meal.
