It’s my new favorite Mexican place. The tacos are totally addictive and exceptionally good! So far, I’m hooked on carnitas, chorizo, chicken and ground beef tacos. I love tacos so much that I haven’t bothered to even try the burrito. I’ve gone there 3 times now and will keep going at least once a week if I’m in the area.

As an out-of-towner rolling through Missoula, I knew I was craving tacos. Being from the South, nothing hits quite like a good taco truck. Cruz Tacos was the perfect spot. The setup alone caught my eye (see picture 👇), and the food sealed the deal.
Big shoutout to Matthew for the 5-star service: friendly, smooth, and welcoming from start to finish. The tacos had that Tex-Mex flair I was hoping for, packed with flavor and made fresh.
If you’re looking for friendly vibes, quick service, and delicious tacos, then it’s time to Cruz on over to Cruz Tacos. 🌮

$20 for a burrito, drink, and tip is way too much for the quality, but it was decent. I'd say if the whole thing cost closer to $13 it would be a good deal.
Instead, I would suggest you mile over to Garden City Taqueria and get two better tasting burritos for the same price

Cruz Tacos has the best tacos in town!! Plus the guac is 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽. And the people here are so kind! Do yourself a favor and go there right now.
I came in with high expectations based on the reviews, but unfortunately my experience wasn’t great. The tacos arrived cold, which was disappointing. On the positive side, the horchata water was wonderful.

$6.50 for a taco!? Lived in Mexico City for 2+ years and would rather just go to Taco Bell for that price. Flavor is okay but price just ruins the meal. LA and other major cities tacos aren’t even this expensive. Half price and twice as good. Missoula has a sad Mexican scene. If you want good tacos in Montana I would recommend the tacos trucks in Bozeman MT. Fairly priced and are actually enjoyable, very gentrified “Mexican” spot.

Cruz Tacos is an absolute gem in Missoula’s lively taco scene. This family-run business makes you feel right at home, even on your first visit. From the slow-cooked meats to the fresh salsa and chips, every bite was tender and full of flavor. 10/10 — I wholeheartedly recommend them. I’m sad to be leaving Missoula, but the Cruz family certainly knows how to send you off right. Much love for this place.
