Iron Griz is our "go to" place to eat for a quick delicious meal.
Their Blackened Chicken Salad is the BEST! I love blackened chicken but my husband does not. They are wonderful about replacing the blacked chicken with grilled chicken. He loves this salad as well!
When we aren't getting the salad we love their Shrimp and Grits. Perfectly cooked shrimp with vegetables and grits in a delicious sauce.
We've gone here many times with a variety of people and we have heard the burger, beet reuben, chicken sandwich and chicken parmesan are wonderful as well. We just love the Blackened Chicken Salad and the Shrimp and Grits so much we haven't ventured further.
The atmosphere is very nice, especially out on the patio facing the golf course. They've done a great job of protecting guests from direct sun! The inside, while not fancy, is quiet and very comfortable. Love this place!!
Vegetarian options: Blackened chicken salad without the chicken. Beet reuben is wonderful! Nourish Bowl is very good. Tea sandwiches are tasty (hold the chicken)
and I've heard great things about the Corn and Melon salad

Molly was so friendly and took the time to explain the highlights of the menu. She also gave great advice for newbies in Missoula. The food was great, but the service is what would bring us back!

On a hot night, we ate inside at the Iron Griz. So did a lot of other people. The waitstaff were friendly and helpful--no problems there. But the noise was palpable, overwhelming. We could not have a conversation. The louder it got...the louder people screamed and talked. We left as quickly as we could, bolting our food to get away from the din. Iron Griz has often been a pleasant experience. But really, can't owners do SOMETHING to counter this awful new trend of mind-numbing noise? I would go again, on a cool day when people can eat outside, midweek. I'll try one more time. I can't recommend it in these conditions.
IRON GRIZ IS SOOOOO DELICIOUS!!! The smash burger is incredible. Definitely a great spot to take your family/friends.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Saturday brunch experience. I had the veggie breakfast burrito and I dont think I've ever had more fresh veggies at any eatery. You can tell they came straight from the garden and were chopped by hand. I wish I had grabbed our servers name because he was OUTSTANDING! Took 4 orders without writing anything down, including egg preferences, and got everything right. Fun personality and just a great guy all around. Made plans to join up with the same friends in a few weeks to keep the good times going!
Vegetarian options: Easy to ask for no meat on my breakfast burrito and hold the cheese as well. Sour cream was served on the side too so I had total control of meat and dairy.

Really good atmosphere, but service and food were not that great. It may have just been an off day for the staff. I do suggest you give it a try.

I ordered the Steak Frites and asked for it to be cooked medium. The steak was cooked well done and was tough and dry. The worse part is the steak is served cut into pieces. So the cook would had to have seen that it was over cooked, and he sent it out anyway. The fries were good, but the ruined steak ruined the entire meal. The restaurant is also on the university golf course so its noisy with golfers. the AC was cranked to the max, which made the hot evening nice.

Our family stopped here for a meal while we were traveling from Whitefish to Bozeman. Was a great stop - food hit the spot, service was timely, and sitting outside on a beautiful day overlooking the golf course was enjoyable.
We try together get together with old friends once a month for dinner and the Iron Griz is one of our favorite restaurants to enjoy a relaxed, fun atmosphere and great, pleasing food. Iron Griz does not disappoint. The service was attentive, but not intrusive. The food is fresh, well prepared, well presented and delicious. We love it there in the summer months when we can get a high top table outside.
We met a group of friends for dinner and had a great experience. We were seated on the patio and could watch the golfers tee off at the first hole. The servers were friendly and attentive. We had appetizers with dinner and all the food was delicious. It was prepared correctly and tasted great. We will definitely be going back to enjoy more of the menu items and great service.

Really enjoyed the good food and service. The pickles were crunchy and tart. The shrimp and grits were perfectly spicy. The malbec and chianti were rich and well priced. Our server was always available.
One of the best spots in Missoula all the way around! Atmosphere - one of the only places with a fire place for staying cozy in the winter and then a beautiful patio for warmer weather! Food is scourced locally when possible with delicious options. And the staff, sooo amazing!! They could not be more friendly, accommodating with great customer service. This place is such a hidden gem!

Really enjoy their quiet unpretentious atmosphere, super friendly staff and solid food choices. Prices are good too for this town.

I have eaten at Iron Griz numerous times in the past, and have enjoyed my experiences there... Unfortunately, I am writing this after attempting to share a meal with family who were in town, and I wanted to take them to IG. Their website said they were open, but I wanted to call just to make sure; however, the phone number listed for them (website and facebook) wasn't helpful--just rang and rang, and then a computer voice picked up and asked me to enter a PIN (no message). So, I figured since the website indicated 'open' and I was able to make/confirm a reservation through Open Table, the odds were in my favor. Nope. The restaurant was closed when we arrived, reservation confirmation notwithstanding. Very disappointing.
