Might just be the classiest place in Missoula. My parents are from Montana but we've lived in Washington state our my whole life. After retirement, my parents traveled to MT frequently and Mustard Seed quickly became my dad's favorite restaurant. I'd heard a lot about it but had yet to experience it for myself when low and behold my work took my wife and I to Missoula! We stopped in for lunch and I was pretty impressed. The place is large and can accommodate a lot of people but the staff was very friendly and took good care of us. The food was delicious and even though we didn't care much for their sweet & sour sauce, you can tell they probably make it from scratch. Beware of the hot mustard though. We like it hot and it melted our faces. Go sparingly until you gain a little repertoire with it. Our food was served hot and we had zero complaints about anything during our visit. They even have a nice size bar where you can watch sports and other good stuff. I highly recommend Mustard Seed if you're in the Missoula area and I noticed the other day that they may have a location in Spokane WA too. I'll be visiting that one soon if that is the case. This restaurant is going on my favorites list. Thanks dad!

The food was disaster. The halibut fish was dry and overcooked and tasteless. The sweet and sour pork was syrupy sweet and awful. Don’t eat there you will waste your money. Yuck!

Worst food I've eaten in a long time! Went with a friend who took me out for my birthday and neither one of us ate our meal... it was awful! Brown gravy on almond chicken and it was VERY salty! Won't go there again!

The food was bland. More American than Chinese. The service was mediocre. I felt like I was in a cafeteria.

This was my first visit and it’s a hip looking sleek place that has a great happy hour from 3-6 pm & 8-close and if you choose the happy hour option be sure to request to sit on the bar side to take advantage of it. I didn’t eat off that menu today but lots of people I know rave about it and the prices are super good. My meal today was Asian Taco/Curry Taco. What I loved was that the curry wasn’t over powering and the peanut dipping sauce was dynamite, perfect consistency and well balanced flavors. I would have liked the option to have corn tortillas instead of flour but the flour looked like they were made in house and my dish came with six. My partner had the spicy caramel chicken and I tasted it and it was delicious. They have a nice selection of beer and a great looking mixed drink menu. When we are in Missoula again we are planning on trying happy hour! Thanks for a great meal, fabulous service and plenty of food to not only eat but for a “doggie bag” for me!

I have been ordering there for a while and last time I ordered there was no chicken in my chicken salad. The manager that night said I could get another salad if I came back in . I was busy so he said he would have a 20 dollar credit for me . So I called and the person who answered had no idea what I was talking about . So she did nothing . I spent 17 dollars for lettuce and a few mushrooms and vegetables

Called to place order. Male who answered was rude from the moment he answered to show he did not want us to order during this time. When asked to substitute an item in a meal on the order, insisted it become another item that I didn’t ask for that was on kids menu. INCREDIBLY DISRESPECTFUL AND DISAPPOINTING what this restaurant runs on. If you want to a reason to need food, go to this place and they will make your appetite high but not as high as their attitudes!
