I would give this a 4 star due to the average, but I feel like the food brings it down an extra star. I personally love this chain, but the Missoula location reminded me of the quality of Applebees with the pricing of a steakhouse. Dont get me wrong, I love applebees, but the pricing is not 30$ a person.
The food is consistently great every time! Steaks ordered medium rare come medium rare. That alone is rare (haha) in the Missoula area- especially at this affordable price point! The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. My kids enjoy the dancing and loud music. Anytime we have guests in town, we take them to TX Roadhouse. Manager visits to tables are regular occurrences, and they are friendly and helpful!

I've been to Texas Roadhouse twice, both times we had to wait for a table. Last night we waited for over an hour. The wait is not that big of a deal and common in Missoula these days. The servers both times were excellent. My only complaint is the amount of salt added to the food. It can't be only me that finds it unbearable. A good cut of steak needs just a pinch of salt and maybe some butter on the side. I don't know what kind of seasoning mix is used at this...
