Really great experience here! Environment was relaxed but very clean and a bit upscale. Lots of local drink offerings, and the food was amazing! Great place to come hang out, especially with friends or family.

Excellent dinner, we were a party of 8, arriving 7:30 pm Friday. Our server (Harry) was fantastic! He explained the entrées and gave us some great recommendations. He was attentive and got everything just right. The grilled cheese with apple, bacon and blueberry compote was great - highly recommend. Salads, steak, burger, pizzas were all excellent.

the breakfast wasn’t bad and the prices were reasonable, but the service was inattentive and the server was clearly not trained on the basics of table service. it took 20 minutes to get food ordered while the place had one other table and the two young ladies stood by the bar talking. it looked like someone was training, but it was really the blind leading the blind. we eventually had to stand up and ask the server if we could order. she had the audacity to lie and tell us she was already on her way right then. once we did have our food she finally started coming by the table asking if everything was alright and if she could clear our plates several times every few minutes. it went from no service when we needed her to annoying overservice when we didn’t. order your food at the cafe and save yourself the frustration of terrible service

I held my daughter's graduation party here on 7 June and was left feeling pretty disappointed. In the past I have had great breakfast burritos and very friendly staff but this day, on a special day, that wasn't the case. Party of 17 people and a lot of things people ordered weren't available. My daughter, who the party was for, never got her order taken. I was the host and waited for a drink, after everyone had theirs, for quite some time and eventually had to go to the bar to get it.The Avocado BLT had avocado that shouldn't have been given to customers. Two sandwiches ordered and both had black and brown avocado on them. The waiter we had was quite unfriendly and my guests mentioned that he made their requests/orders seem like an inconvenience. I was not impressed by him at all. Lastly, we asked him to split the bill between two cards and he didn't even do that right. Was almost like he ignored our request or didn't want to tell us he didn't know how to do it. On a positive, the view is beautiful, the room for the party was great and the cake we ordered through whomever The Den uses for those was amazing!

My daughter made a reservation for 20 people for her daughter’s graduation celebration. We had one person waiting on the entire group for drinks AND food. He was extremely unorganized. And even though it looked like he was writing some things down, he forgot more than he remembered. I tried to not judge him at the time because 20 people is a lot to try and take care of at once. He was actually rather curt and kept trying to over explain why things were not going well. I don’t know why they didn’t have at least two people waiting on us.They were out of at least five things that people ordered from the bar. My daughter finally had to go to the bar to get her own drink. And both times he brought my wine, he forgot to bring my ice on the side. All the lunch orders came out in a staggered fashion. He would bring out three plates. And then there would be a break in service and eventually three or four more plates would come out. I was the last person to be served; just a simple Avocado BLT, and everyone was finished eating before I got my sandwich. It was ridiculous. And the avocado was black/brown. Obviously beyond its ripened stage. My daughter had the Avocado BLT as well, and we both had to take the avocado off. It was inedible. Several of us were very disappointed with the whole experience. Add on a mandatory 18% gratuity for the large group and our very poor server gets a whopping $106 tip. In addition, he was told to split the bill on two separate credit cards and he charged one card for the whole thing and the other card nothing. Just a very disappointing experience. I don’t believe I’d ever go back. There are too many other great places to go in Missoula.

My family and I had a lovely meal on the patio and the food was excellent. I’ve been living in the flat Midwest and I loved loved loved the view of the mountains I miss so dearly. I took a star off because the patio chairs were very uncomfortable for this thicc-thighed woman. There weren’t any options for a different patio chair and I didn’t want to make a fuss with dragging an inside chair outside. I looked around at other patrons and noticed many other thighs being restricted by this particular chair design. Accommodating different body shapes with an alternative chair option would be my only suggestion.

Nice quiet place with great views and atmosphere. The food is very good. Service is slow - not enough staff. But it’s a nice place to be anyway.

Delicious food, beautiful views, and great service!

We had a fantastic lunch at The Den! The sandwiches were fresh and flavorful, the salmon salad was absolutely delicious, and the coffee was smooth and rich. The service was excellent - friendly and quick - and the whole atmosphere was bright and relaxing with beautiful mountain views. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy, high-quality place to eat in Missoula!

French dip, mushroom burger. Tomato soup - Luke warm.

Asked them not to put any sauce on burger and they did, asked for my burger to be pink and it was well done. I wasn't impressed. Mimosas weren't that good.

We dine in often as we live in the neighborhood. Mostly for lunch. This time I sat at the bar to order sandwiches for the family to go for dinner. Restaurant half full with tons of staff in the kitchen. Still took over 45 minutes to get my to go order. Ridiculous. Needs serious management work based on recent reviews unfortunately.

My family and I have had wonderful breakfasts and great service. For my husbands birthday we wanted to check out the dinner menu. First of all we found out there are no entrees served on Tuesdays? Our shrimp appetizer gave us 2 breaded shrimp and the other pieces were empty or had a lemon with crust around it. Not what you would expect. The service was terribly slow.
