The blackened prime rib was Vegas quality. Amazingly authentic with lots of Montana style!! There are 3 areas to choose from to dine at including a deck Bar which was very naustalgic to be around. Come and check it out and remember the dessert and everything else is hand made daily there.....wish I lived closer.......go ask for Katie who served us. She was great!!

A tale of two plates.
Had the absolute pleasure of dining at The Depot tonight in Missoula. Sort of a last minute decision but one that we were glad we made.
The staff were all very friendly and were spot on with suggestions and recommendations. The atmosphere was light, relaxing and comfortable.
All the drinks were very well done.
I had the ½ cut prime rib and the Mrs. had the salmon. The salmon, with the dill sauce, was cooked to 100% perfection as was the prime rib. Probably, dare I say, one of the finest pieces of beef I have ever eaten. Absolutely next world stuff. Accentuate it with (like I did) a glass of 10 year Laphroaig scotch!
Then there was the other side of the plate. We both had steamed vegetables (asparagus). It was well steamed but that is where it ended. It was plain, dry asparagus; no seasonings or oils or anything. I had to order some melted butter to eat mine. Wife didn't touch hers. Absolute antithesis from the main courses. Thus the 4 star rating for the food. I appreciate it if you've read this far into it to understand. I will go back every time we are in town. Will probably chat about the sides in the future.
I was also very impressed with the variety of dishes available on the menu. Something for everyone.
Oh and the Greek Martini is impressive.
Go. It is 100% worth it!

Service was great and food was quite good. Where The Depot suffers is the prices. Prices here are frankly too high. For some items it is above what I’ve paid in large cities. I live near DC and was really shocked.
Suggestion for the manager —offer more $25-$35 options. Drop your high end items by at least 15 percent or ditch them.

Great higher-end restaurant in Missoula. Wine list is really good and reasonably priced. Highly recommend the blackened salmon. Mahi tacos were really good as well. Ordered a few desserts that were fantastic.

Had dinner here because of a recommendation from one of our friends. Excellent customer service & a tasty meal! We got the prime rib and I would recommend their garlic mashed potatoes! ?️

This has been an awful experience . They sat us in the corner of their sunroom, where the air conditioning served all the other table but us. Then they sat 5 people at a 4 top table next to us which crowed our table. Then people who came after us were served first, then we ordered our food and literally the most boring tasting 50dollar steak arrived and they forgot my side salad. For a $100 plus steak dinner I expect more and have had much much better.would not recommend ! Waste of money . Our waitress worked very hard though. Thank you to her.
I ordered the strip. Hilarious presentation. Zero spice, no salt or pepper next to a baked potato. For 45 dollars you have got to be kidding me. When the side salad you order that isn’t included is the best part of the meal you are in trouble. That said I like the place and the service was great. But the food……woah.
