Drove all the way from CDA to try this food with my best friend and it was worth it!!!!!!
I come back every year when im in town!!!!
Ate: burnt ends, ribs, tri tip, mac, pickles, potato salad, applesauce
Recommend: ribs, tri tip, pickles
The burnt ends were too lean for my taste, which is perhaps why they were dry. The tri tip would be good on a sandwich. The ribs were well prepared.
I liked the pickles, the spice built with each bite.
Best BBQ
The Notorious P.I.G. is hands-down the best barbecue in Montana. The burnt ends and pulled pork are absolutely incredible, and their fire and ice pickles take the flavor to the next level. The atmosphere is great, and the staff are super friendly. If you’re anywhere near Missoula, this place is a must-visit for barbecue lovers.
Horrible food. Pseudo bbq.
Horrible pulled pork sandwich was ice cold had no flavor no one even really talked to you all the sauces on the table were watered down over all it was the worst place to go no one with me even ate our food it was so gross spent $40 to walk out with a soda unbelievable.
I was blown away by how good the BBQ was here, especially since there was almost no smell of BBQ when you walk in. Apparently the air filtration system is so good it neutralizes the smell. Best cornbread and burnt ends I've had in a while. Big portions, good people and an all around great experience.
The food has changed quite a bit over the years. It used to be a good chunk of meat clearly picked right off the roast. Now it's sliced like lunch meat and delegated into plastic containers that are obviously weighed. We both got a pick 2 plus drinks and after a modest tip it was $60 for not a whole lot of food. I understand barbaque is expensive but that's just a bit much for lunch.
Great food, music, and staff! Would be a regular if I were local

This place is fun, the ribs were so tasty, the pulled pork was good but nothing special, and the BBQ sauces, only one was worth eating-the sweet one- but for first timers from out of town it was a nice stop. They served us 20 minutes before closing so that was nice.
This is one of the most wonderful places i have eaten at in Missoula. The staff is great the food is fantastic. Air is so country you can forget your city feel there.you should call first because they only stay open until the fresh food runs out. They are great. Highly recommend.
We ordered 2 meals one being the pulled pork sandwich and the other being brisket platter which by itself was 23.00 for just the brisket. We got them both very fast and the brisket was cold which was odd to me never had it cold before.. the Mac and cheese was cold as well and had no flavor. The pulled pork sandwich was room temperature.. this was my first time going to this place and i definitely wouldn’t be back.. famous Dave’s is definitely better.
the ribs aren't very tasty anymore. the coleslaw was bland the last time we had ribs. very disheartening.
Notorious P.I.G. is a fantastic BBQ joint that knows how to do it right. The dining room is spotless, with shared tables and a lineup of four BBQ sauces to try with your order. As soon as you walk in, the smoky aroma hits your olfactory senses like a warm BBQ hug—a sign of good things to come.
My crew and I went all-in with a two-meat, two-side combo: brisket and ribs. The brisket was sliced thin, juicy, and tender, practically melting in our mouths. The ribs had a killer rub, just the right amount of sauce, and amazing flavor. Some ribs were a tad on the dry side, but they still brought the barbecue magic.
The Sides: The mashed potatoes and gravy were everything they should be, with satisfying chunks of real potatoes (definitely no powdered stuff here!). The mac and cheese was a creamy delight, with cheesy goodness clinging to those fun cellentani noodles. But the real MVP of the sides was the baked beans, loaded with bits of meat and a blend of their spicy and sweet BBQ sauce that hit all the right notes.
We'll definitely be back for another round of BBQ bliss and, of course, the inevitable meat sweats.
