This is the definition of a classic MT bar, restaurant plus keno machines. $30 ribeye paired with $3 cocktail you cannot go wrong! Highly recommend stopping by. The cook was Vee tonight and he did very well cooking the ribeye rare/med-rare. Beth was the bartender, and she is absolutely amazing- personable -funny- down to earth- and makes a very good drink that will.cost you less them $3..

If you want to customize a meal, be ready for the rejection. "We don’t do that" is what we were told. I had the veggie omelet. The mushrooms were from a can over powered with green peppers and overwhelmed by cheese. The hashbrowns would have been amazing had they used butter instead of grease.

Food good, service bad because the server didnt speak English, and parking was a terrible headache. I had to pay for 2 hour limit; all street and lot parking costs money. Dumb for business.
Parking: It took 8 minutes driving in a circle around several blocks to find an open spot and that was at 11:20 in the morning. Then I had to pay for a spot that had a 2 hour time limit so we could'nt hang around and see the shops. I can imagine this would not help the businesses there at all. very silly to charge for parking.

One of the iconic eateries in downtown Missoula. We have been eating here for over 50 years. Very little has changed in that time. Yhe Oxford still has a choice of high top tables, regular tables, and counter seating where you can watch your food being prepared by the wonderful cook. The original menu is still on the wall with newer prices, of course. Still a great meal at a reasonable price.

This place was rough! We were super excited to visit this storied establishment as we are from out of town but this experience was nothing short of disappointing. The restaurant was not clean and super disorganized and the bathrooms were filthy. There were only two servers working and they both seemed perturbed at the customers. We had to wait quite a while before the server took our order and the order came out incorrect/mixed up. The bread was soggy and not toasted at all, and the food was just okay. Super frustrating for a place that claims to have been serving the same meals for so long! You would hope they would have figured out their processes by now. We never received our check and finally after waiting quite a while I went up to the cash register and asked to pay. I had to wait for quite a while there too because there were technical difficulties with the card reader. The server did not seem to care that our experience was unfavorable from start to finish. Overall, not worth the trip and feel like we wasted a meal on this place. Would not recommend.

Must have been a bad night. The cook was the only server. We were trying to be sympathetic because it was a crazy busy night all over town. It took like 20 minutes to have our order taken. An hour later and we were the only group to not have our food. We asked what was going on and they hadn’t even started cooking our order. A group of 6 sat down after us and got their food before us. We had to walk out. Really terrible experience.
