Most of the times I've been here, it's been pretty alright. Burgers and everything are okay, I mean nothin to die for but, they're fine. Definitely happy they're doin shows here again, because the top hat has always been a better venue than restaurant, really no question there. But anyways, we went here the other day, and I truly think the public needs to know how horrible the damn chicken wings here are. It was kinda just funny how bad they were. 0 flavor, soggy even though they basically didn't really have any sauce on em. I mean all around, they were the worst wings my aunt and I had ever had in our entire lives. So yeah, eating at the tophat is usually fine. And props to them for doing shows again! BUT DO NOT GET THE CHICKEN WINGS. I'm not a religious gal, but I almost prayed to god after eating these, in hopes to maybe have a better chance at avoiding food poisoning. Seriously, they were barely edible. Chef should be embarrassed that these are on the menu.

Came here with my girlfriend hoping to have a good bite to eat. Both of our schedules are so busy so it's hard for us to find time to go out to eat with one another. She got a burger with fries for 19$, I got 6 wings for 11$. The wings were dry and were absolutely caked in black pepper. Her burger was over cooked and thrown together in a panic. DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE FRIES. Felt like I was eating a raw soggy potato. I'm all for a little softness but a fry should not bend like this!!! Overall one of the worst spots to dine downtown. Michi is right across the street and is 100x better!

Not as good as it once was. Look this place is a Zoo town staple and absolutely it's great- but not like what it once was. If we didn't know the top hat from 6 years ago.. would probably give it a higher rating. Just to many little problems with this place now. It was one top of our list when taking the gang out.. but now at the bottom. Menu is fantastic, food it still so good. Hats off to the kitchen 100% the service and management always seems stressed and unhappy and it makes for a poor experience. It feels like you an inconvenience being a customer her. Probably just because everyone's overworked and understaffed but there's plenty of other places in town in the same situation, but the vibe of the restaurant is still positive and fun. I'm only posting this after many trips back over the last two years, and keep getting let down by the negative energy of the service

Excellent food and service. We had the halibut and flank steak. Perfect! And the coconut pound cake was delicious. Also, the sound system and background music were great. Nice to finally find a place where you can enjoy your meal and actually hear others at the table. Well done Top Hat on your Valentines Event1

We took advantage of the Valentine reservation and special dinner. It was excellent. The steak was cooked perfectly and the side dishes complemented the entree perfectly. It was also reasonably priced. It was a great experience.

Great food and a good beer selection. I recommend their Wisconsin burger or fish tacos, they're amazing. The free live music on the weekend is nice too.
