Veera is a vegan donut shop with a huge selection of massive gourmet donuts, and for a long time it was one of my favorite spots. Unfortunately, my recent visits haven't lived up to what it used to be.

The donuts don't seem as fresh or high quality as they once were. They were noticeably drier and denser than I remember, which was disappointing given how good they used to be. The flavors are still creative, but the execution just isn't quite there lately.

Service also felt pushy and a bit rude, which was a contrast from the friendly experience I remember in the past. There's no seating inside, so it's strictly grab-and-go.

I really hope this is just an off period because Veera used to be excellent. The concept is great and the selection is impressive, it just hasn't been hitting the same recently.

Don’t sleep on their breakfast burritos! Best in town, in my opinion.

I truly love this donut shop, which makes writing this review difficult. I’ve been a loyal customer for 5–6 years and come nearly every week. As a vegan living in Montana, this place has always been a favorite. The donuts are consistently delicious, and the breakfast burritos—especially the Spicy Space Cadet—are my go-to. The prices have always felt reasonable, and the food quality is excellent.

That said, over the past few months, the customer service has noticeably declined, to the point where I no longer feel comfortable returning.

To give some background: There is no seating, so I usually eat my food in my car. I’ve occasionally asked for an empty donut box to use as a plate, something that used to be provided without issue. Recently, I was told I would need to pay extra for a box, which felt unnecessary given the lack of seating or alternatives. While frustrating, I could have overlooked this.

However, my most recent visit crossed a line. After placing and paying for a takeout order, I was verbally confronted by a staff member about not tipping, being told that it is “customary” to tip food staff.

I don’t personally believe in tipping for takeout orders, and I know many people feel the same. Regardless of differing views on tipping, it is not appropriate to pressure or shame customers—especially after the transaction was complete.

The food is still excellent, but the service experience left me feeling unwelcome and uneasy. I genuinely want to support vegan businesses, but customer respect matters.

I remain undecided about whether to return or not in the future.

So good. One doughnut is big enough for two people. I ate more than I should have, next time cut in half eat half. Very good doughnuts , nice selection, something for everyone. I should have taken a pic but are on the way to the Dr.

I prefer to drive from Corvallis when I have a craving for donuts or yummy food. They never disappoint, they're sweet treats and other foods are literally so good. I personally would have never knew it was all vegan, they even have gluten free options for their donuts too! I would always go when I was living in Missoula and working up there too (especially when I was vegan for a year). I'll always recommend this place to everyone, their employees are always so nice and cheerful.

It is a bit tight in the store, not really any room to sit down if there is a line but the donuts are sooooo good!! And I love that there is a day old option! The chocolate original is the best!!

such scrumptious works of art. Delights the senses. Not only the donuts (very moist and not layered in icing) that I (pumpkin pie filled creme brûlée) and my non-vegan husband (ding dong) had, but also the burrito (very good quantity like the donuts; also wonderful seasoning) I had. - Valerie

Beautiful smaller bakery. Did an excellent job on the gluten free donut. It tasted amazing. It was the chocolate one with peanut butter.

The food is great.

More often than not my order is incorrect. Everyone who works there is in high school or like a freshman in college and there is often no manager on duty. Clyde seems to hire and train high school and college aged kids well, wonder what gives with VEERA.

Since the charge nearly fifty dollars for two people to eat breakfast here, maybe they should hire people to be a manager rather than leave literal kids to manage one of the most busy places in all of Missoula.
