We spent the day here at the Sage Lodge planning our wedding and we were not disappointed. The view the, service, the food. Everything was fantastic. We even had three Deer stop by for dinner.
We've eaten at Sage Lodge multiple times, mostly at The Grill, and have always had very good experiences. We've also had brunch in the Fireside Room, so we were excited to finally go for dinner, especially given the reputation. The Bison Bolognese, Mushroom Gnocchi, and Filet were all delicious, but the Steak Frites (Flat Iron) was disappointing. The chimichurri was lacking, and the fries were clearly bagged, frozen fries, which was surprising. At this caliber of restaurant, steak frites feels like a dish where handmade fries should be a baseline expectation. After dinner, we walked over to The Grill for dessert and drinks at the bar. While the dessert and cocktails were very good, the bartender was unfriendly and noticeably put out, to the point that all of us felt uncomfortable, and a little condescended, even though there were still plenty of people in the restaurant. We wouldn't normally leave a critical review over one or two misses, but we know how amazing the Sage Lodge can be, and the details and hospitality matter. One other note that may be helpful for guests deciding where to dine: The Fireside Room feels more like elevated family dining and is less upscale in atmosphere and menu. The Grill is actually the more refined, “special-occasion” experience. If we were choosing again for a nice dinner out, we would have selected The Grill. That distinction isn't very clear when reading the website descriptions.
Really nice atmosphere. The Staff was really good and made it a great evening. The food good with a really nice selection.
Bison bolognese and wedge salad were excellent. Kudos to Chris, who provided us with amazing service.
Very impressed with the menu, we enjoyed nearly every meal here during our 3 night stay. The staff is attentive and friendly, and the food is delicious.
Went for Christmas eve dinner and the dining room was very lively and festive as to be expected. Beautiful decor. The service was great - we arrived early for our reservation and got seated early. Food was excellent and perfectly cooked. The only inconsistency was with the bar - we ordered whiskey sours and the first round was made entirely different than the second round, and they were very pricey. Overall very pleasant experience, would definitely go back again and again.
Staff is fabulous. Efficient, friendly and full of smiles!! Such a great atmosphere we love it!
We usually come here for brunch or lunch and we were happily surprised with the nice atmosphere at dinner. There was some live music at the background from the lobby. Very kind and attentive service. Food is delicious.
Megan and Autumn were absolutely amazing. Courteous and sat us immediately. Food was fantastic as usual. Just a great place to eat for your first time or your 20th time.
We had a wonderful stay and dinning experience with a great view. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Came here for our anniversary and what a lovely evening! Best meal we had by far while in town.
We always enjoy Sage Lidge dinners but the Views and Brews were outstanding. Would recommend to all
The server was excellent, the salmon entree was ok. The salmon was overcooked and could not be eating. I did let the server know and she took it off the bill.
Our group of six had breakfast on the patio and the experience couldn't have been more perfect. Everyone enjoyed their meal and Isaac and Calantha took great care of us. Such a beautiful setting.
Flies, flies and more flies. For such a beautiful venue, one would not expect to have to swat away flies during the entire experience. The service and food were acceptable but nothing outstanding. The noise level is a bit annoying and could be remedied with ceiling baffles. At the end of the day it will be the flies that push us to another venue for our next dinner outing.
