The best burger in between Va to Mt, the cook will prepare to it exactly how you want it! And it is amazing! If you’re looking for a great burger after a long day glassing elk, this is the place for you!
We've traveled a ways and found the Wayside a nice surprise! Super friendly place, with superb service and excellent food.
The smoked brisket is usually very juicy and tender. It is extremely good. Yesterday July 20, 2022, it was terrible! over cooked, dry and some areas absolutely hard and not chewable. It was sliced , long grain, not cross grain, which caused it to be very stringy. Hopefully they can make it great again.

Way Side Bar in Trout Creek is a great place to eat with consistent food and service. The grilled cheese and garlic cheese curds were delicious, as well as the BBQ brisket special. The portion sizes are huge, perfect for sharing. The clam chowder had a unique flavor, while the Ranch chicken wrap was tasty and substantial. The Cheddar Head burger was generous and flavorful, a must-try on bingo night. The atmosphere is lively, with live music and events like bingo night. The Montana Mule is an excellent drink choice. Overall, a great spot for good food, generous portions, and a fun time in Trout Creek.
