We highly recommend the tavern for food and drink! Stopped in for lunch and had awesome service. The French dip and the Philly cheesesteak was so good! The tavern has a great atmosphere and the mercantile next door has some really cool merchandise.
Great place! A friend and I stopped for a cold beer. We had already eaten otherwise we would have ate here. The food looked great that people around us were eating.
Always enjoy my time here! Great sandwich tonight!

Yaak River Tavern is an authentic, off-the-beaten-path spot in the Yaak Valley. Great food, great ambiance—perfect for refueling. The food was excellent, including a burger and tots, and the fried amber beer fish n tots were 10/10 amazing with the home made tartar sauce. The R lager was amazing. The bartender was very nice, attentive, and awesome, playing great music. A great drive from Troy or Libby. Watch out for wildlife—there are big critters everywhere. Definitely the place to stop when in "the yaak."
