Had a very good breakfast in the Star - Chicken fried steak was nicely braded with a lovely cream gravy topping. Quality hashbrowns, sausage patties, sourdough toast to accompany. And a good cup-a-joe too Service and attention to coffee were excellent. Not the cheapest breakfast, but the quality was spot on. I wish the bakery was open (late week/weekend only) to try pastry but no such luck. There aren't many early breakfast choices in these little towns so I was glad to find...
Amazing baked goods made FROM SCRATCH daily! Local mom and daughter team and they do such a great job! I wish they were always open! They laminate their own dough! I cannot say enough good about them!
They’re back open! The new owner, Jamie Barta has brought the Star back to its original way! Top notch breakfast and great service. Plenty of choices and all of beef and coffee is locally owned.
