The burgers smelled good from the street, but the taste exceeded my expectations. The meat was incredibly juicy, the buns were perfectly soft, and the vegetable garnishes were fresh and crisp. We upgraded to Parmesan fries and onion rings. They were delicious, and the portions were large Visiting Virginia City was so enjoyable. We will be back in the spring to visit again, and will definitely look forward to another meal at the Virginia City Cafe.
Arrived to have breakfast with family. I had been here before for lunch. Upon arrival the waitress seemed perturbed we were there. Very short in words, handed us menus and walked off. Came back to get our drink orders. There was 1 other customer inside, so wasn't busy. The music of Queen was playing in the background, which I get music is good, but 900 in the morning in a cafe?
Took our order and food arrived fairly quick. Never came back and checked on us. As we finished our meal, asked if we wanted refills, so a bit late. When coming to our table the last time, attitude improved a little.
I get it everyone has bad days, but to push it out on your customers, well, that makes for bad tips and reviews... She put the bill on the table and said the other gal at counter will take our payment and walked off quickly...
The food was excellent and will come back! Hopefully better day and a lot less attitude.

This is a nice little cafe. We had their wings, cheese sticks, onion rings, and Monte Cristo. It was all great, the taste and quality. There was only one server at the time, but she did a great job of keeping up with all the customers. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

A welcome meal after a long day! Everyone in my party had burgers and they did like them. I had a cheese steak sandwich with side salad. Salad was better than the usual sides. the sandwich was good, but not quite 5 stars. Patio was lovely, even on a hot day. Beers for the boys from the bar next door were permitted at the table.

RV camping just down the road. Had to explore the town. Popped in this cafe for early dinner, we were very pleased. I had the ceasar salad w chicken, husband had a hamburger. Hostess/ servicer, wore many hats, gal was so friendly. Be patient, it's small with maybe only a cook and server. Glad we popped in!

We went in around 11:30 there were 10 of us. Only 1 other table filled until about 10 minutes after we sat down. The server was great, the food, not so much. I had a Buffalo burger, parm fries and a side salad. The burger was awful. Dried up, not even warm and the fries the same. The salad was ok but hard to eat in such a tiny bowl. The rest of the group had various items but all concluded that the food was cold. I may understand if it had been busy, but it wasn’t.

We were there Thursday for lunch. At first, service was slow. Then we figured out the server, cashier, host, and table cleaner where all the same person. ALL ON HIS FIRST DAY! With that information it was a great experience. Sorry, I have forgotten his name, he did a great job! The food was very good too.

Simple little restaurant, but good nonetheless.
We ended up going here twice. We got dinner one night because they were the only place open. Solid dinner. Burgers and fries but the value is there.
Got Breakfast the next morning and that was really good as well.
They have coffee too, but that wasn't very good.
