Get the drinks, don’t waste your money on the overpriced TV dinners they’re masquerading as restaurant food. I had the misfortune of ordering the “premium” pork chop. It was a bland cut of meat with a quarter sized pat of butter, a thin slice of Granny Smith apple, micro greens with dry potatoes, and cold broccoli. Nothing had seasoning on it. The food was great for dieters looking for punishment and people who don’t like to taste things. It cost $28. I’ve had better food at school cafeterias, and found myself pining for pizza bagels made by old women in hair nets. They at least added oregano and basil.

The drink was a different story. The cinnamon maple old fashioned was delicious and had a generous pour. Just go to the lounge and have a drink on the deck, you’ll have a much better experience.

Snagged a spot at the first come, first served extension from the main Dining Room after an expected wait for seating. Fun little spot with outstanding service, drinks and views after a much needed break and refuel from hiking.

We had several opportunities to eat at the lodge for breakfast and dinner. The bar was severely under staffed and we waited a long time to get a drink to take out by the lake before dinner. The first night the service was good; the second night not so much. We waited a long time for our drink, the person refilling the water glasses and bussing the table of used dishes never stopped at our table once, and our entrees arrived before our salads. I'm not sure if the staff hadn't been properly trained, or if they were just short staffed.

Breakfast was a fairly typical buffet and adequate. The hostees, Sabine, was there for two of our mornings. She was rude, unprofessional, and downright nasty to several of the guests. I'm not sure why anyone would want to hire someone like that to be the face plate of the restaurant. It made for an unpleasnt experience in an otherwise great trip.

We were able to get a table for two with just a few minute wait on a Saturday night. The food was great, the service was quick. The only negative is that they were setting up the breakfast buffet tables for the next morning while we were still eating.

Nice dining room with good decor. We came in a big group with the red bus tour. The line got backed up, which is fine, and we got into the dining room about 15 minutes later. I had the house salad, which was good but took my server telling me a couple different times that he was bringing it before he did. The burger and fries were good but a little dry for the burger patty. I had to eat quickly because we were late to get back on the bus. Good meal and lunch isn't too expensive. I wish I had more time to enjoy.

Well, we had a disappointing experience in the bar as related to service. BUT, we were extremely pleased with how it was handled when we shared to management. Both, Darren & Sabine took our concern seriously. It was a minor complaint but I was shocked how serious Darren took our complaint, then at breakfast Sabine ask for her personal re-can’t of our story. Without reservation I recommended this establishment, because we all make errors and no one is perfect. It’s how we address issues is how we should be judged.

Fun spot if you are looking to get the entire Glacier Vintage experience. It is very rustic! You can’t really see the lake while eating but can sit out back once done.
Food and service were just ok, but it is busy and I know everyone in that area is short staffed, not sure why they don’t pay more to get better people but at least they had someone there working!

Kid-friendliness: They have a traditional kid menu that was also just ok.

We got a recommendation to have lunch here, but unfortunately this was one of the worst experiences of our entire trip.

We sat down and were ignored by the waiters for 30 minutes. They started taking orders of everyone who sat after us so I flagged one down. I nicely told her we were ready to order. She had a major attitude and was acting annoyed about taking our order.

Our drinks came out warm. My margarita had melted ice and was only half full.
The elk burger was not edible at all. Burnt to a crisp, chewy, came out with a tiny scoop of sauce, soggy lettuce and random pieces of crushed Lays chips.
The pesto pasta came out cold, with soupy sauce, unmelted cheese, and flavorless.

Overall, a very bad experience all the way around. Especially considering we spent over $70 for this meal.

If you want over priced food and absolutely dog water service this is the place for you. The food is alright, at least for breakfast, still certainly overpriced for being extremely slow at keeping the buffet restocked My main complaint is if want your drinks refilled or really any service from your server you're not going to get any service.
However I'll give the hostess credit she was the only person to fill drinks and actually do the job of the server, she honestly deserves a raise for how much work she was putting in she went above and beyond her hostess duties . If the tip could go to anyone she was the one to deserve it, not the person who introduced herself as a server and only even brought us the check.

Collin was a fantastic bartender and delivered top-notch service! We were really pleased with our cocktails, burger, and brussel sprouts too. All of the employees worked together so well. Thanks for a great experience!

We had a very nice dinner after taking the 2pm Red Bus tour. We got here about 6pm and enjoyed a 30 minute wait having drinks on the patio overlooking the lake. The service was not up to par and had to ask for water, etc. I started with the house salad, then the lamb roast on a stew of veggies and gravy. We topped it off with their huckleberry pie which was excellent. They don't take reservations so get there early and enjoy a cocktail on the patio.
