My husband and I both felt this was the absolute worst Chinese food either of us have ever had.

West Yellowstone has slim pickings for vegans. Most of the restaurants listed in Happy Cow have just one or two viable options. Chinatown appears to have by far the biggest variety of vegan items on the menu. I thoroughly enjoyed the crispy tofu and the hot and sour soup was good. I'd like to try the other vegan options but the crispy tofu was so good, in spite of the lack of any other vegetables in the dish, that I'm inclined to skip the others. Chinatown gets mixed reviews but our experiences on two visits were entirely positive. My only gripe is that I brought my own can of craft beer in but it turns out there is no such thing as BYOB in Montana; it's against the law to allow diners to bring their own alcohol unless a restaurant has a liquor license, and a restaurant that serves alcohol by rights shouldn't be required to allow customers to bring in their own. Not Chinatown's fault.
The first fillet was cold in the center and cold.

It's a decent restaurant. Have a couple of veg options. They by default charge 15% tip.
So glad we ate here! Fresh food with great spices and sauces. Lots of veggies. Highly recommended. I am a white guy living in Washington state, and almost all the other diners were Chinese tourists. There are ten Chinese restaurants here, so it is significant so many came to this place. We two people had a great dinner with 3 entrees and tea, for half the price of our meal last night at Bullwinkles Italian.

I ate there twice in a row while traveling to Yellowstone Park with my mother. It was very authentic Chinese flavor, and the spicy hot pot was delicious! This store environment has a bit old but I can understand cuz it open more than 20 years! If u wanna try some real Chinese food I highly recommend you guys coming here!

Food was really amazing and tasty, and they do accommodate vegetarian requests.
We asked them to remove oyster sauce from fried rice to make it vegetarian and it still tasted very good.
Vegetable soup was packed with flavors.
Veg Lo Mein noodles were excellent, kids loved it.

Stopped by Chinatown Restaurant while visiting West Yellowstone
I ordered the egg fried rice โ simple and well-executed. The rice was fluffy, not too oily, and had a nice balance of egg and seasoning.
Also tried the deep-fried intestine โ definitely not something you see on every menu, and I appreciated the bold, traditional offering. Crispy on the outside and tender inside, though this dish may be more for those who enjoy strong, rich flavors.
