Fantastic spot for lunch especially if you have a dog and are visiting Whitefish. They have a large yard with shade and sun options, picnic tables, and water for pups. You order outside and get a buzzer to pick up food; order drinks inside. Food was fantastic - highly recommend the burgers (they have a veg burger option too which is always appreciated). Wide range of food and good options for kids on the menu. Staff was friendly and so were all of the other patrons dining/drinking. No wait due to large seating area/options and in June we encountered no bugs outside.

We are always in search of the best beers, food and vibes, and this place hits the nail on the head even better than Bend, OR if you’re a true beer fanatic. Food is a 10+++, so much that we plan to make a trip back here late in the summer after our Canada tour. We typically stop at each brewery in town and have been struggling to find food that fits our somewhat healthy lifestyle instead of fried items and burgers. It was such a treat to find some Ahi bowls, Poke bowls and chicken bowls that were out of this world. We also had the hummus which is a huge healthy portion and the pasta as a snack and we were all complete full that items needed to be brought home. Came on a Sunday at 6:30, not too busy and great weather outdoors. If we lived here, I his would be my weekly if not 2x a week place to be (need to save some money to live too). We look forward to the IPAs and the food when back around July!!

Really a GREAT spot! My Fortune Burger was spicy (not too spicy) and flavorful. The Bonsai Cheeseburger were really good too.

Order inside and take a “buzzer” until it’s your pickup time.

The food is SO good and I love you can eat outdoors and it’s dog friendly. The beer is good! My only complaint is the automatic 20% tip on your tab when you don’t actually have a server. Seems to be a Montana thing. Check your tabs and adjust accordingly.

Great food and drinks, and friendly staff. We ended up here while waiting for a table at the Mexican restaurant across the road, and I’m glad we did. We enjoyed the pork verde, chicken adobo tacos, and the side salad.
I have so many good things to say about Bonsai; the food is every bit as excellent as the beer. But the one thing that stands out over everything else that I could ever say is this: "The best beer I will ever have for the rest of my life came from here. It is the only beer I have ever gotten emotional over, tears now running down my face. by my second sip I was looking around the bar, seeing the great bartenders and beer friends AND SAYING 'If this is heaven THIS IS GREAT!" This happened ten years ago'; the beer was called Snack Pack. Bonsai and the Bonsai crew will never be forgotten.

Was a good meal and good service. Unfortunately had to listen to one of the managers go on a misinformed political tirade as he sat at the bar. It was pretty sad and got very annoying. Completely killed any sort of atmosphere so might as well just order takeout or eat somewhere else

Sweet brewery in Whitefish serving really tasty beers of different varieties, and food including various salads, burgers, and bowls. Appreciate that they had several vegan and vegetarian options, which were very tasty. Beer was great; ordered an IPA and the Sour Pilsner, which was delicious. Indoor seating and a spacious, dog friendly outdoor patio. Had a fun time here.
