Wasabi is one of our favorite spots in the Flathead Valley. It’s locally owned and has that perfect hometown vibe where locals and visitors alike feel welcome the moment they walk in.

The quality of the sushi genuinely rivals some of the best I’ve had anywhere. Everything is incredibly fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and consistently excellent. If you’re ordering for the first time, I highly recommend starting with the hamachi carpaccio—it’s bright, delicate, and absolutely delicious. The Snow Leopard Roll is another must-order and one of the standout rolls on the menu.

Between the great food, friendly service, and relaxed atmosphere, Wasabi has become a go-to for us whenever we’re in Whitefish. If you love sushi, this place is absolutely worth a visit. 🍣

Great sushi and a really welcoming atmosphere. The fish are fresh, the rolls are well made, and everything consistently tastes excellent. The staff are super friendly and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. We make a point to go every time we are in town!

Was told a dish was not spicy by server, but ended being spicy. Food took too long to come out, also brought us wrong order, and substituted fake crab for a shrimp sushi, would not go back

Honestly the food was not that good. The rice was dry and the fish was not fresh. It reminded me of grocery store sushi and the price was way too much . The servers were great though.

We bought takeout from here the other night. We bought a total 6 rolls and two orders of sashimi. The total cost: $220.00. This place is egregiously expensive. They charge a 12.5% gratuity on takeout!!!! Absolutely insane. It should also be mentioned thag the sushi is completely average. Will never go here again.

We sat at the bar, Jewells was friendly and welcoming! Then came Mitch! I'd read about him in other reviews, not thinking we'd actually be blessed to have him serve us! So friendly, informative and funny! The Salmon Skin was our favorite, with the Eel Appeal not far behind (in my husband's opinion, I didn't love it, but I don't love eel). The Hot Blonde was my personal second favorite, the peppered albacore was delish!!! Voted the best sushi we've had in our almost 11 years in Montana.

It is so disappointing how far Wasabi has fallen. For many years this was our go to for birthday dinners. Now it is just not even worth it. ☹️The rolls were small, expensive and not that good. The egg omelette in the spider roll seemed like some strange McDonald’s egg. I told the person on the phone I needed soy sauce because I was out at home. She included 5 little packs for 5 sushi rolls and 4 nigiri. Good thing I bought a jar at Markus before picking it up. We got a scant tablespoon of wasabi for all that sushi. I spent $160 and really can’t believe I went back after our way worse experience 2 years ago. Shame on me.

Been to Wasabi many times over the years. Foods always great. Atmosphere is nice but like not uncomfortable nice. You can be dressed up or in a t shirt and both be accepted.

But last night took the cake. We had Mitch as a waiter and the experience of dinner was incredible. He was funny, asked our names, gave real recommendations, really felt like we wanted to connect with us and took pride that we experienced dinner in a new fun way. I always make reservations but instead of time I’m gonna reserve him as our waiter in the future.
