I support all halal restaurants, but this place was absolute garbage. Group of 7 spent close to $500 usd for garbage food. Some of the kebabs were way undercooked. Egg plant had zero flavor. Complimentary soup tasted like sink water with chickpeas in it.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place if you want decent food.

Great dining experience. Great food and portions. Everything was very fresh and tasty. Shisha was 10/10 and at a good price will definitely come back again.

I recently visited Moomba Lounge and was blown away by the experience! The Persian food was absolutely phenomenal, with flavors that transported me straight to the heart of Iran. The portions were generous, ensuring we left completely satisfied. The shawarma and kebabs are cooked right in front of you, adding an authentic touch to the meal. What really stood out was the kindness of the owners; they made us feel like part of the family. If you’re in the mood for delicious halal food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, Moomba Lounge is a must visit!

I loved this place! Great place, great music, and AMAZING food and prices. The kebabs were spectacular and the plates were very large. The prices for shisha are also great. If you are looking for an authentic Iranian place with great prices, go here.

I recently dined at this fantastic Halal Iranian restaurant in Cancun and was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance is cozy and elegant, with beautiful traditional decor. We enjoyed the koobideh kabob, which was tender and flavorful, paired perfectly with fresh naan and creamy yogurt. Every dish was made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, making it a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended!

Absolutely great, lovely and hard-working service! A big thank you.
We sat down in the restaurant late in the evening hoping for an Iranian atmosphere, but instead there was loud electronic music playing and the decor was more reminiscent of a seedy train station cafe. A few Persian rugs on the wall do not equal style.
Because of the loud music, we decided against eating but instead getting something to drink. Unfortunately the cola came in a broken glass and the tea was a tea bag. A bagged tea in an Iranian restaurant?!
Not a nice experience and an unfortunately disappointing representation of our culture.

Everything was okay, but just okay. It seemed that might have been some issues as the business was very slow and there seemed to be a lot of tension almost the workers. The food tasted good but not great and I was surprised by the lack of sauces normally severed with meals like this. That could be my ignorance

Gave 1 star, but trying to be fair, staff were awesome, friendly, and hard working, it's just the place that is horrible. The place is under construction, too hot, no AC in Cancun's summer, imagine, no TV, appetizers on the menu not available, no sumac to add on Persian food, no coffee, tea was tea bags, not tea leaves, you don't expect tea bags from such a restaurant, and they don't accept credit cards, just cash only, stay away from this place. Seems it's just a hookah place and nothing else more.

The food was tasty, we also got complimentary soup when we first sat down. It’s a good option for halal food however the atmosphere wasn’t ideal for muslims. We didn’t like the extremely loud music at all. Of course the parking is difficult because of the area as well. However the servers were nice and again the food was good so I can’t say i won’t recommend if you’re looking for tasty halal food.

While vacationing, we walked into this place to eat (something besides Mexican). It was empty, should have been the first red flag.
They play games to run up the bill. if you want cash, they charge you $8 ATM fee( US dollars) and if you need to exchange currency, they low ball you on the rate. They didn’t present an itemized bill until we demanded. Then they were annoyed when we questioned the items. They charged us $5 US for a bottle of water too, same price as a 22oz coke in glass bottle…
Initially, we were overcharged by ~50% of the total. When we final settled, it was about 25% above what I calculated. I was over it and chalked up the loss. So hopefully you dont have to…
