“Spectacular!!! We sat at the bar and Genaro and Joel treated us wonderfully, it was entertaining to watch them cook sushi and they were super friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, we were surprised by the level, they recommended the special Dragon Roll and it is the best we have tried in Cancun. 10 out of 10!!!”

Mexican cuisine.When in mexico, eat MexicanAs a big fan of Mexican Latin cuisine, I had to have one dining experience dedicated to the above and the restaurant of choice is Carajillo.The restaurant is by the water and semi outside so you get a nice sea breeze especially at night. The decor is nice. Liked the wave effect in the ceiling.Service was good, very attentive and accommodating.The complimentary tortilla chip and dips were nice.The pork croquettes were okay but the dressing sauce was tasty.The same goes for the shrimp tacos, just okay.The star of the show was the rib eye foie gras rollos. These were really top dollar. Interesting mix of flavours.The drinks I chose seemed to all have ice cream on the top, wasn't to keen on that so didn't enjoy the drink but I loved the prep show.The dessert was good with a generous portion. A bit too sweet for me to finish it all.Good restaurant overall especially if you choose the nice items off the menu”

If you need to pay usd or pesos, you'll have to speak to the employee at the cash register. They are bilingual. Lots of good seating here, but if you can to go as well. “Oh my God, if you go to Cancun and not visit Casitas, you haven't gone to Cancun. Our second visit to this restaurant. Save extra money, and rent a cabana. Very beautiful. I really love this place. The restaurant is closed at the time and they set up a private spot on the beach and make it so beautiful. The food and quality of service is so so good. Felt like we were in our own world. “The service was excellent, the steak was great, our other food was OK, and the atmosphere was good but slightly ruined by swarms of mosquitoes. I would recommend double checking your bill, but it was minor, see below.All of the staff were very friendly, spoke great English, Spanish, and Spanglish. They were very attentive and I can't say that we have any complaints about the service directly. They did charge us twice for a bottle of water, which we noticed and just took out of the tip, and it was a fairly small amount so not a big deal, but also not the sort of "mistake" that a restaurant of this level should be making.The steak we had was delicious, perhaps a little salty, but very good none the less. We also got a soup that was very interesting in its presentation (see video) and my partner enjoyed it, but it did not compliment the steak at all and I found it to be a bit too ambitious with its attempt at complexity. We also ordered some fries, which turned out to not be steak fries, as I had thought they would be in what appears to mostly be a steak house and were instead an attempt to recreate McDonald's fries, which should never be your goal for fries IMO.The atmosphere was very nice and had a very positive feel to it. Sort of an Asian/Mayan hybrid theme. The seats were a bit much, stuffed with too many pillows that made it a bit awkward to sit, but once rid of the excess pillows it was not a problem. Our table was wobbly and made a crashing noise each time it shifted, but wasn't a huge problem, just again, slightly not at the level that the restaurant was trying to put itself at. Ultimately the big downside on the atmosphere was the swarms of mosquitoes, which sadly there is little they could have really done about due to the design of the restaurant, but it did negatively impact our enjoyment of it and we walked away with several bites.Dietary restrictions: They asked about food allergies 4 times in the first 5 minutes of us being there, to which we answered about a wheat sensitivity. So they were aware of it, but failed to apparently share that with any of the other staff so we got asked several times. Better many times than not at all.”

It was about 400 metres from the bus stop.The service was excellent. Very welcoming and friendly. English menu available and the waiter was quite helpful at explaining the various dishes. The waitress, Alejandra, was very warm and welcoming. So willing to be of assistance.The food was very good. Highly recommend.We had 3 beer, 1 margarita, 1 shared appetizer and we each had a meal. The bill was $550 pesos. This was the best tasting meal we have had in Cancun, and the price was 1/4 to 1/2 of what we paid at restaurants in the hotel zone.”

“I LOVE THIS PLACE. The customer service is off the charts and I'm so mad I can't remember our servers name but he was absolutely the best and was his sidekick. The food is solidly good, but my favorite part is that I can go to the front and see the turtle pool, go take a short walk after dinner (before dinner and drinks) right there on the beach, there is a trampoline and it really feels like paradise when you can look up at the moon while your eating dinner. The vibe is so relaxed and yet super fun. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.”
