Ate dinner at Parque de Palapas 5 of the 7 nights we were in cancun. By far the best Al Pastor tacos I had while in Cancun ( city, not hotel zone). They actually fire the pastor as opposed to griddling it like you can get from the street stall vendors in the park. That char!!! Plus 2 of us could split the dish. Paid the US equivalent to $15 ($300+ pesos) for 2 people to eat with a few beers.
Service was OK, did not mess up our check at all. I completely do not agree with the overall rating google has for this place. You'll always be 5 stars in my mind El Pablano!

The food was very bland and took forever to come. Ordered tacos and was very disappointed in what I received, no vegetables whats over just tortillas and beef. The beef tacos were okay not worth the money though. There are definitely more cheaper places to eat nearby for better food. The other members of my family were also very disappointed as it was our first night in Cancun celebrating my daughters birthday. Its very much a tourist trap restaurant. I usually don't like to write reviews good or bad but I felt the need to write one for this restaurant as our server was very kind and helpful until she wasn't. We payed for our food and asked for our change back ( we also paid a tip beforehand) our server refused to give back our change and proceeded to threaten us to leave the restaurant if we didn't want trouble, we argued with her to please kindly give our change back but she kept refusing. (keep in mind that our first language is Spanish). We left as we had no choice, she swindled us for about $50 CAD, was a very bad experience to come here and celebrate our daughters birthday. We ended up paying a large amount of money for a street corner restaurant when we could have gone somewhere cheaper and tastier to eat. Was so disappointed, don't make the mistake of coming here. Also the washrooms where quite dirty. Such an unpleasant experience, never again.

In relation to price/quality, it is not worth it, I ordered a “Special Steak” and the meat was tough, without flavor, the poblano chili from the rajas was bitter, an avocado mud with 2 tortilla chips and they did not give me the charro beans, my Wife ordered an order of guacamole and an order of tacos and the truth is they are very tasteless for what they cost, the guacamole chips were watery and when we were leaving we noticed a cockroach walking along the shelf where the shepherd's trompo is, honestly I was very disappointed for what we paid, really not recommended.

Came to cancun from New Jersey, this restaurant was much better then any restaurant I've been too in hotel zone and about 1/2 the cost of any other restaurant we visited. The food is authentic and our waiter german was excellent!!
